it is known tha people having english as 1st language dont put in much effort understanding that the rest of the world speak other or multiple languages

True that, Artie. My late husband had an accent and a master's degree and people assumed he was stupid or didn't understand.

@Artistic Here in Palestine we hear three languages daily, Arabic, Hebrew, and English.
