wow what a night... just coming off a 22 hour long day at the ER and it was not a fun one.. we worked over 8 hours on at person that got shot in the head and sad to say he did not make it
raven2005 nope 6am i will be back for a 10 hour day. its hard to get out of there on time and seems like u never. most of the time i do 12 hours 5 days a week but then end up doing a cover
I'll bet medical personnel would be the first to agree with you moose. Here in OZ, (can't speak for anywhere else) young registrars are subjected to dangerously punishing schedules. Hiya Blue_Eyed
yup we should not have to but we are also short handed and pulled as for as they can. people dont want to deal with things and with as fast and easy as it is to sue now its not safe or smart any more
Safe practices you can’t. Other wise jail if it goes wrong. Lawsuits galore. And worse scenario loss of life. Due to some one working above the legal allowed hrs without rest. World wide law
things dont always go by the book that is all i am going to say bout that like if some one comes in and u start working on them and it hits time for u to go well u dont just stop and walk away u stay
keep on working till the person is gone or stable so yes u are right but it dont always go that way and more times then most u dont get out on time. it is also law that we if are on the way home and
happen to come across a person in medical need we must stop and give add dont matter how long a shift is so the law is BS and just BS paper work and there is loop holes that can fuck u over both ways
