Some people actually prefer PM's,I am one of those people...and are they 'hiding themselves' when you log in or are they always invisible? there's a difference.
so may not be hiding, they may in fact be not using IM or not have it available on the device they are using, or they just dont want to use it regardless, but doesnt mean they are hiding from you ....
