I drink a glass of vegetable juice every day. Lately, it has been hard to find in stores. I suppose supply lines are stretched. The other day, while in the grocery store, I found two 64 ounce bottles, so I grabbed them quickly. Yesterday, I opened one and poured myself a glass. After taking the first drink, my throat started to burn! My first thought was that the bottle was somehow tainted, so I picked up the bottle to see if it was past its' expiration date. There, on the front, in big red letters was the word SPICY. I wasn't going to die. Whew! And now I will have an extra 'kick' every morning... whether I want it or not. Another reminder to keep your focus on what you're doing. ~ | ||||||

I am 69 years old. I live alone. I work afternoons. The only people I usually see Monday Through Friday are the ones I work with or around. I see and interact with lots of people on the weekend as I run my errands. I 'talk' with friends and family daily via social media. It is now 24 days until Christmas. Do I have the Christmas spirit? Yes. Just because I don't put up my little 3 foot tree until Christmas Eve and take it down January 1st does not mean I lack the spirit of the season. I say Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays. I give gifts. I keep the true faith of the season. I do these things quietly, without banging my own drum. So am I a Grinch? I think not. ~ | ||

I forgot to mention my Sunday double shot. I had made an appointment to have my booster shot December 3rd at the local college clinic. They wanted a lot of personal information. I didn't like that, so I decided to see if I could find another place close by to get my shot. I went online and saw that the CVS nine blocks from me was giving out Covid-19 booster shots AND flu shots. Available same day, by walk in or appointment. I made an appointment for 5pm, because I don't like waiting in lines. So I drove down, waited 10 minutes for the nurse to get ready, got my shots and was back on the road 5 minutes later. Gotta love it! | ||

For the second time this year, I had a friend request out of the blue from a pretty young lady. For the second time this year, I was eventually asked for money. I was burned once over a decade ago by a young lady and you know the old saying: Once bitten twice shy. I'm not stupid and gullible. I won't get fooled again. I'd say that they will give up trying, but as long as I'm perceived as a friendly old man those leeches will keep on trying. Such a waste of time. ~ | ||
