Every day I hear someone talk about how terrible the world is now. The world has always been full of bad things and people. What makes the world seem worse is the amount of coverage it gets. The only advice I can give is to turn off the news and focus on what immediately surrounds you. The acts of peace and kindness you share today can pay forward with others to make everyone's life better for tomorrow. ~ | ||

I was reading today about butterflies having sex. Yep, there are male and female butterflies and they have sex. Unknowingly I have seen them joined together in the act. Never really thought about it before. From now on I'll keep an eye out for them having sex and make sure I say 'you go butterflies' when I see them doing it. ~ | ||

I heard of a sweet lady whose husband had died. He was a real skin-flint with his money and made his wife promise to bury all of his money with him. At the funeral, before they closed his casket, she put a shoebox in with him, then closed the lid of the casket. After his burial, her closest friend asked her if she had really put all of his money inside to be buried with him. She just smiled, and as she climbed into her new car said: "Yes, I wrote him a check." Then drove away. ~ | ||
