well spent the entire weekend packing and it is just about all done now, divided into the Uk corner and the far east corner.

House is awash with so many boxes (dont recall what is in half of them now) that it is hard to move about without tripping over them. Gotta stay like that for almost two weeks before the removal men arrive, pack the remaining and then start the long journey East (after a south west side trip)

One day I will see it all again and start the fun of unpoacking it all again. It'll be all worth it Im sure

Well things are slowly but surely falling into place. Work permit application has been sent, I believe the only thing thjat can stop all this now and that being refused, heres hoping not.

Finally pinned how the removals will go now. Stuff picked up in DK mid July and brought to UK. Then put in a container and put on the high seas for 3 weeks. The thought of my pants sailing through Suez or being hijacked by pirates to be used as new sails.... but I guess thats what you get insurance for lol. If all goes well stuff should arrive around time my paid accommodation expires. Another company quoted 10 days lonegr sailing time, clearly that was the slow boat to China

House in DK will soon be up for sail, contract signed, photos done, survey report to be arranged then that is all set. Hopefully house will sell at the price Id like

So on a UK sojourn at present, enjoying the nice weather before i head back to start the box packing frenzy

been a bit quiet on the subject just recently, guess most are tired of hearing about me still looking for work.

Well it seems things have now come to a head. I have received an offer I have been waiting of r over the last few days and it is time to make a decision.

Esay enough you might think, the offer is very good in terms of new salary, bonus etc. The big decision comes that the new job means leaving Denmark and shipping myself 7000 miles round the world to a whole new life. Means exchanging -25C in February to +30C all year round. means leaving the firends I have made here and hopefully making new ones in another land (and Betsie is hating the idea of me going).

The offer came in a few hours ago and I have thought about nothing else since. As I said it IS generous, but the thought of starting up a major relocation, selling up, packing up etc is very daunting. What makes it worse is they want me to start in mid July meaning very little will have been put in place before i leave and lots will have to be done remotely

The job is a perfect match, the company bigger than my last ans arguably it is a great move for me professionally and deep down I also think it is what I need from a personal point of view, a bit of a life shaker-upper. But right at this moment 8and typical of me) I am focussing on all the difficulties of it rather than being a) pleased I have an offer of work and b) the offer and the job are actually pretty fantastic.

So it really does look like pastures new for this old cow
