Saturday, February 16, 2008, 8:45:25 PM-
Friday night my boss was telling me about this bar where these two great acoustic guitarists were playing. He really wanted to see me there so when I got home and told my wife about it she was even excited. It’s always a plus when your boss wants to see you socially outside the office.

The place wasn’t big at all as I was warned. A few beers later my boss was still a no show so I gave him a call. He wasn’t able to make it there. At least he knew I made the effort. It really didn’t matter. You might say it was comfortable way to spend a Friday evening just kicking back without any frills.

My Valentines gift was something that surprised me this year. It was a double DVD of the 2007 Crossroads Guitar Festival headed by Eric Clapton recorded last summer in Chicago. Holly Shit! This was one very cool DVD.

Here’s the link:

Thursday, February 14, 2008, 12:28:45 PM- Valentine's Day
While the reasons for Valentines day seems to be pure and wonderful all too often it only adds pressure to any relationship.

This year we decided don't to make a big deal out of it and so we haven't. Think low key and everyone will win. There I go again, thinking of winning or losing, white or black, good or bad or even in or out.

She woke up to a nice card and a Bruce Springsteen CD. She's actually cooking dinner tonight. Simple & enough but why to do I feel lousy?

I couldn't sleep last night & found myself up at 4:00 a.m. just waiting for the alarm to sound so I could jump in the shower and get my day started.

Thursday, February 14, 2008, 3:35:24 AM- Maybe I Am
Tonight we had another counseling session. When we walked in everything seemed fine or at least decent but by the end our discussions had led us in many directions. By no means was it ugly. Although frank, direct and to the point it was a learning experience. But why do you always feel worse exiting the room than when you walk in?

Tuesday, February 12, 2008, 3:54:17 AM- TCM or die
It seems all my wife does is watch old movies on Turner Classic movies (TMC). While an old movie once in a while is fun I personally like my movies in color. Every time she turns on the TV she'll channel surf past everything I'd like to see and stop on something from the 1930's or 40's.

It must be genetic or something. Her sister is the same way. Day after day it just seems so boring. Yeah, just like her underwear... beige! Oh well, time to start drinking. A few glasses of wine & I'll be ready for bed.

Already I'm thinking of having to get up in the morning and scrapping he ice off my car's windshield. Yikes!

Tuesday, February 12, 2008, 1:06:12 AM- Freezing ice and sleet!
I want it to be spring... NOW! This winter stuff really sucks a big one! We didn't get that much during work but we're expecting 2" of whatever during the night!

Other than that, not much else to say except I thought we had a counseling session tonight but I was wrong. It's Wednesday night. It works for me because all I really wanted to do was to chill in front of TV tonight.

Sunday, February 10, 2008, 10:15:39 PM- Sunday
Now that I've got an entire day to just do nothing it's just too cold to enjoy the nice sun. I tried doing some guitar stuff down the basement but couldn't get my head into anything. Maybe its best just to sit back and really do nothing chill out.

My wife signed up for a class tonight so look out because this guy might just be doing some important perving!

Saturday, February 9, 2008, 10:56:08 PM- Seems Forever
Ever since our business expanded it's business hours there's just not enough time left over for anything fun. Normally on Saturdays I'd head in until about noon but today I didn't leave for home until 3:00 (no lunch).

When I arrived home there was a note saying go for a bike ride it'll clear your head. Well I did and it did clear the head but it also cleared every once of energy I had left. And now there's only one day (Sunday) to re-energize. This 60+ hours of work per week is getting really old.

I've been stashing away some play cash & I'm about to spring for a new camera. But I'm having a difficult time deciding to stick with the SLR like models or just leaping all the way into the full SLR mode. The images will be clearer, higher quality but the size and weight go up too.. not to mention the weight if you want to carry your camera around.

Oh... I've already got 4 digital cameras but i do like my toys!

Wednesday, February 6, 2008, 1:56:34 AM- I've got good genes!
Don't genes mixed up with jeans. I had a physical today with a new doc and he said everything looks exceptional good. Well, my blood pressure could be a tad lower but I just finished driving through crazy traffic in the middle of a rain storm... when it was dark. That always rattles my nerves a bit!

I got stuck with needles, a finger up my butt and my balls were felt. If you only heard that part you might think I was having fun!
