I really did nothing at all constructive today except take the photos posted below in my blog. I did re-wire the stereo & added another cheap DVD player which was stored away in the closet.

Oh yeah.. the Oscars are on TV tonight. We'll watch them for hours and still feel like we've wasted mote time.

Photography has always been a part of my life. I can't remember when I did have a camera available to take pictures. If fact, I must have been one of few 14 year olds running around with a Nikon hanging from his neck.

The snow this morning was a surprise but offered up some unique photo opportunities that I had to grab right there and then. Even though I live in a urban environment these images were taken within walking distance of my home. There is so much beauty even in the winter.

These were all taken today just before noon in Forest Park, St. Louis.

Either I wasn't paying attention or something but when I looked outside this morning.. It Snowed!

Yes I was surprised but maybe because I got a call at 6:45 about my sports website (I do some website design on the side) and needed clarification that a certain event was going to held? What a way to wake up on a Sunday morning, my only day off.

The HD TV is just too amazing. Even my regular channels look 30% better. This New AT&T service is so much better than my former provider. It's called U-Verse and only offered in a few cities. Right now I'm getting over 380 channels, about 40 of them in HD. But who can watch them all?

The built DVR is cool too. Did you know I can record up to 4 different shows at the same time? But Why? I have no ideas...

By the time I home today the ATT installation of our new U-verse system had been installed. We now have nearly every possible TV channel available... many in full HD. OMG! It's like another whole new world has opened up.

HD is truly remarkable!

The sun is out, warmer than in nearly a week. The snow is melting. However, more snow is coming in just a few days! It doesn't matter because I'm watching in HD!

Sleet started falling around 6:00 a.m. but I really didn't think it would amount to anything. But as the day went by it was easy to see it was going to be tougher than we thought. We all left work at 2:30 to head home.

Watch out! This seems like bonus time!

I don't have a lot of time so I'll have to be quick. So much is happening.

My brother in-law talked my wife into doing a quick trip to Vegas at the end of February. One minute they were just talking about it and the next minute she's online booking a flight and a hotel. At least I'm going on this trip too.

Such short notice. When she wants to do something she just does it. We were talking about this type trip a few months ago but never did go past the planning stage. It might be exciting after all, I've never been there.

I need ideas... Now she's trying to talk her sister into going too. Well, I guess what happens in Vegas will be a family thing. Crap!

When my head hit the pillow last night it was lights out! The next thing I knew it was morning. I can't remember the last time I slept the entire night without waking and finding myself downstairs trying to find something to eat.

It took a while to get myself collected (and going) this morning but once I got it in gear it was amazing how easy everything fell into place. Is that what real sleep feels like? I'll take more anytime it rolls along.

We were at work for maybe an hour when i get this call from home. "Is it snowing there?"

I said no, in fact the sun was out. I hung up the phone and 10 seconds later we had a real blizzard with white out conditions. Within 5 minutes everything was completely covered with snow.

Another 5 minutes passed and it was over. The sun came back out. So weird but true!

The beginning of a new week brings new ideas and jobs to preform. Can it be the weekend right now? It was too short.

Yesterday we did end up getting a 36" Flatscreen TV for the kitchen area. Had it out of the box and set up in about 10 minutes. This weekend we go completely HD throughout the house and now we're ready.

Some of you will not be working today because it's President Day. You are the lucky ones. Think of me working..... I sure could use some hot time between the sheets. Or better yet.. on top of the sheets!

Sunday, February 17, 2008, 1:41:32 PM- Shopping For U-Verse

Yesterday we headed out to do some very late shopping. She wanted to show me something at this furniture place on the way. We never left the store until the purchase was made and the furniture is being delivery next Friday.

I just let her get whatever she wanted after that furniture purchase it just wasn't worth the hassle. We're yanking everything out of the our sitting area off the kitchen and the new stuff is going in. The bright side is that she's allowing me to get another flat panel LCD TV for that little room.

Next Saturday AT&T is installing their U-verse system in the house and we're going HD everywhere. (It includes HS, and wireless Internet).Our old TV in the room has served us well but its history. So this change prompted everything else I Guess?
