I usually don't blog in the morning but ever since my daughter arrived home on Wednesday there just isn't much time so at least I'm updating now.

Last night we walked the short distance to get ice cream. It was fun watching our location foot by foot on her new GSP powered watch. AND it was a hoot talking basketball with her.

Today is her 1st real job interview. Hope it goes well.

The entire day was one long stress factor! Damn! I'm glad it's over.

But it could be worse. So many people have to contend with the possibility of having their homes flooded in our state. It's just terrible!

My daughter is driving home for along Easter weekend and Interstate I-44 was flooded forcing her to take a detour. Now that doesn't happen every day. For her it was just an inconvenience but think about everyone that are in harm's way.

The rain may have stopped but the major flooding is only now raising its ugly head. In many cases we're talking about water rising to over 19' above flood stage.

Personal I like the rain because it makes you safe being inside where it’s warm and dry. This rain has been falling for over 24 hours straight and has overstayed its welcome this week. At least it’s not freezing cold. Spring must surely be around the corner because I’ve seen glimpses of it .. yes! Just the other day!

The winter of 2008 has been a real bitch hadn’t it?

I’d like to just chill out on a slightly deserted beach just at the edge of town. The warm tropical breezes would brighten the soul and even give me a decent tan. Hell with the notion of tanning being unhealthy. And while you’re at it, I really need that cold Corona just like in the ads.

When I get tired of just hanging out there I’d just walk down the beach toward town. You can see it just a mile away if you squint a little. Along the way there are always beautiful women to be seen. Oh Geezzz!!! Look at that beauty right there! She must be European but she appears so confident with her top off. There is definitely something to say for No Tan Lines!

We had friends over for dinner. They brought photos from their sailboat trip down in the St.Thomas area. Oh My God! That's that I called a vacation. Now want to go!

Afterward we just played cards and started drinking. How could go wrong with that as long as you weren't the one having to drive home. This morning I need get out of bed until almost 9:00 and that's really late for me.

So far I haven't done anything constructive except to a bike ride to get the cobwebs out of my head. Hmm... I almost rushed out and bought another camera just because I've been looking at them so long. That treat will have to wait another day. Because for me looking is lots more fun than the actual purchase.

For the past few weeks I really haven't gotten a decent night's sleep. Today I truly feel the effects. I tried taking a nap this afternoon but that was a worthless effort. All I did was worry about not falling asleep.

Today started off like a buzz saw!! I was working like a crazed guy but indeed got plenty of work accomplished. By mid afternoon it seemed like just a plain easy day. Then the fun teasing started in a very good way! By closing I was one horny guy!

I'm married to the cat lady so my when my daughter arrived for the weekend with her puppy we were prepared for anything. This little guy took about 3 seconds to win everyone over in this household. He took immediately to chasing the cats everywhere until one turned around and swatted at his nose giving him one hell of a scratch! After that.. he gave them a little more room.

Normally, I'm not a fan of bulldogs.. but how could you not fall in love with that face! Damn!! He's growing fast! Check out the PHOTO FROM JUST A MONTH AGO.

My daughter arrived last night with her little puppy. He's quite adorable but a handful. He'll eat anything and everything in sight. Just wait until he gets bigger... the cuteness might be gone but the bond between them will be stronger than ever!
