blink Right, we're not into having guns being lawfull here. One of the things, I fail to understand with the US & sure would be a struggle for me to see it as right.
Unless we're talking about hunting & appropriate licensing that is.
Or knives...
Should be glad I am doing my part to see they are secured...

Oh my! I am going to cling to my guns so that the crooks don`t steal them!

They would have to feel me up to find one of them!

Yes, knife crimes are higher here but this isn't to say there is no or hasn't been an increase of gun/similar weapons crimes.
It is also good to keep guns in a safe cause it costs to much to be stolen. One you don`t want to keep in a safe so that it is handy to get.

Some schools (starting at high school levels) have the same metal/weapons detectors in place. That's how bad it Can be.

Farmers here in the Uk can hold a gun licence, if they keep the shotgun, when not in use in a safe gun cabinet, regularly inspected, it's why we have very, very low gun crime in the UK,
(4 years ago)
It is illegal to own a handgun in the UK, it's why we have very, very low gun crime in the UK
(4 years ago)
Our Police are not armed, unless you are a specliast gun trained officer, and they are only used in extreme circumstances, it's why we have very , very low gun crime in the Uk
(4 years ago)
I'm not gonna argue gun rules... I just bought a safe. That's a good thing, amiright?

It's a cheap one... I think it would only slow a thief down
(4 years ago)
But better than none. Washington state passed some safe storage rules recently, though I dunno how enforceable they would be without throwing out the 4th amendment
(4 years ago)
We live in very different countries with very different rules and laws regarding Firearms, each has reasons for their laws, so it may be; )

There are so many guns in the US as it is, and more coming in all the time, that by making guns illegal...all you are doing is taking away a person's right to defend themselves...the criminals will...

...still be able to easily get their hands on them, and without having responsible armed citizens to offset this...I don't even wanna think about it....

The police can/will only do so much....

I get that Writer, you have so many guns there that it's too late to legislate, do anything about it, Pandora's box is open forever, not the case here, sure some get in, but it is a tiny amount.

You are in a catch 22, right thinking people might like to disarm, but the amount of guns in the hands of wrong doers means the right thinking people have to have them against the former...a circle

12 bore and 410, strict rules apply to both.

We've got a different law & acceptance to weapon possession in the US & UK. It's the way it is. No judgement just a fact. I trust if I lived in the US, I'd find it normal to have/carry one for safety.

50 states and countless cities, all with different rules gives a damned good idea which ones work and which are failing horribly. I could list the cities but I wont

.22 22/250 44 30/30 ? no high calibre ?
single and doubles only, TC?
You shouldn`t have to have laws to keep firearms locked up. It is just common sense and NRA even teaches that practice.

.22 rifles are licensed for the purpose of game control, but again heavily policed with strict rules as to licence and storage.

22-250 high velocity and good for varmints
