Because I didn't sign up here for my pictures to be shared elsewhere. Of course there is always a risk but it has been made way too easy for me to be comfortable. I went through that once before.

anyone anytime can just right click and save a pic no matter where it is, here or any other site on the web, its the risk you take for posting any pic on the web regardless of what it is

I know it has always been possible. I had pictures from my first profile stolen & posted elsewhere in a fake profile.

NB: deleting your pix on nn doesn't delete the web trace ever unless the webmaster encodes/encrypts his pages differently or deletes them. Just saying. One must know how things are for real.

There has always been a email this pic option also. Without the actual connections to FB or twitter I don't see that the change is that different. But everyone must decide for themselves.

I have messaged NN for at least 2 years about having the option to create a Private Folder that would be accessible only by invitation. I do not think that would be too difficult to add.

The groups feature would have addressed this and was supposed to be implemented in 2016, but due to lack of cash, the team working on it were pulled off the project.

In my mind the idea would be to have a public gallery AND a friends only gallery. At this point given the option, my public gallery would be small but it would be there.
