My life can be summed up in one sentence:

Well... that didn't go as planned.

I have an I.Q. of 155.

Does that make me smarter than everyone else?

Has it made me wealthier than everyone else?

Does it make me superior to anyone?

Nope, nope and nope.

I struggled in school growing up,

mainly because I wasn't challenged.

I learned more on my own from reading what interested me

than anything I was offered in classes.

I know a lot about 'stuff' that doesn't interest most other people.

I am now at an age where I value common sense more than degrees.

And I shake my head at people who try to convince everyone on social media

who want everyone to think they're smarter than everyone else by borrowing ideas from people

they think are superior.

All I know for sure is that we are all here to live, to laugh, to love.

Anything else jumbles the process.

I was raised to respect my elders...

which at my age is getting hard to do.

I'm having trouble finding any.

I saw a cable repairman on my street the other day.

He asked me what time it was.

I said...

"Sometime between 8am and 1pm".

And walked away.

We all have the power to make a change every day.

So, if you do nothing else...

Please,

change your underwear.

Accept what is,

let go of what was,

and have faith in what will be.

Only during a hurricane can you purchase

a shovel, duct tape, rope and a tarp...

and no one questions your motive.
