The closer I get to retirement, the more difficult it is to keep from quitting early. I have to keep telling myself that all of my financial goals have not been met yet and that it would be a mistake down the line to cut out early. My main focus is on the day when I can walk out the door and not look back. I'm telling myself to be patient, which is like telling a circling buzzard not to kill something. I can never stress this enough: I have a deep hatred of Mondays. The only saving grace today is that the Red Sox are playing a day game today and I'll be able to see a few innings before heading off to work. Retirement is on the horizon and looking better all the time. Maybe then I'll mellow into just disliking Mondays. ~ | ||||||
