Laid-back, easy going guy until my passions are aroused. I've been here 3 other times... I keep trying to get it right, I guess. lol

Sometimes you need to take a step back and just breathe. Try it. ~

I see where the Covid-19 vaccine is going to be approved for children down to the age of 12. I also see that up to 25% of parents are going to wait before having their children immunized, even though clinical trials have proven that it works. Believe me on this - Had this pandemic happened when I was a child, my parents would have had me waiting in line for a shot. Especially if it was free. lol ~

| Monday, May 10, 2021, 6:09:12 PM- Easy there | ||
When you get to a certain age, your body hurts. Sometimes it's little nagging things, like a crick in your neck or a sore wrist. Sometimes it's more, like when you pull a muscle in your back or wrench your knee. It goes with age that your body will have aches and pains, but you don't have to run to the doctor for every little thing that hurts. It usually takes time... and maybe a heating pad, or an ice pack, or Tylenol. It's sad but true that it takes longer to get over these aches and pains, but you do if you're patient. I thank God I don't drink alcohol like I did as a young man now - those same hangovers that slowed me down back then would leave me in bed and non-functional today. I can still remember a time in my youth when every day I awoke feeling great. Feeling ALIVE. Now, just feeling okay when I wake up is satisfactory. Since adopting a 'moderation in all things' attitude has helped quite a bit. Knowing the consequences of over-indulging slows the pain and keeps one in a better frame of mind. It's easy to lash out at those around you when you don't feel your best, but that only makes things worse in the long run, because not everyone is going through what you're going through and they won't be sympathetic if you're grumpy. Once in a while in your 'golden years' you wake up in the morning feeling good and pain free. On those days you should be thankful you've received a gift, you should be happy and spread that happiness to those around you and always remember to knock on wood. ~

| Saturday, May 8, 2021, 6:55:07 PM- It's just a little bone,... | ||||||
... but a bone to pick nonetheless. Today, again, I had to wait over two hours to use a dryer in my building's laundry facilities. Not because of over crowding, but because a person puts their clothes in and, even knowing how long it takes, leaves them for hours unattended. I complain about this to the office of my landlord, with no action taken. But Let someone leave a mattress (me) or a chair sitting out by the trash dumpster and they go ballistic. I see that their priorities are superficial, not practical. No money to be made in the practical, it seems. Bone picked. Carry on. Nothing else to see here. ~

| Friday, May 7, 2021, 6:04:45 PM- Another lesson learned... | ||
... the hard way. When I bought my new mattress, I was told my old mattress would be taken away. WRONG! The old mattress was just moved to the dumpster where I reside. Today I got an email from the landlord saying that since they are fined for hauling away trash not in the dumpster, I have to pay the fine - $150.00 Lesson learned: Whenever you are promised something in a business deal, don't take their word for it. Get it in writing. ![]()

| Thursday, May 6, 2021, 6:03:42 PM- You'll put your eye out! | ||
My new mattress arrived today. It came in a box. I laid it on the box springs and cut the tape that held it rolled up. It popped out into shape so fast it almost hit me in the eye. Of course, in my shock, the first thing I thought of was the recurring joke from 'A Christmas Story'. For future reference, be ready to jump back when opening. ![]()
