It seems like every day I read where someone says their social media account has been hacked.

The same people who tell you what street they grew up on, the name of the first car they owned and the name of their favorite pet.

These are frequently the same questions they are answering that are used for security purposes with your password.

Scammers make these things sound innocent enough so they can get into your accounts.

Be careful what you share out there on the World Wide Web, people.

So hot that a tiny bird landed on my window sill where I have a fan pointed outward to draw the heat through my place.

The fan is on high.

The little bird sat there for several minutes, cooling off I presume, then flew away.

If that little bird comes by again, I'll try to set out some water.

One of the most annoying things about late night t.v. is their tendency to show commercials for restaurant chains.

The food looks so good and yes, I could eat that delicious fare right now, thank you,

but

it's 2:00 am and your place of business is closed!

When I see food that tantalizing, mere chips or popcorn will not fill the void of hunger I'm now experiencing.

Why are you doing this to me?

Are you planting a seed in my brain, thinking I will rush out in the daytime when you're open to fulfill this ravenous desire?

Well, I won't!

Mostly it's on principle, but actually it's because I have too much to do in my daily life to succumb to your temptations.

If you want me as a customer, you should play these tortuous reminders in the morning.

Then you might have a chance of capturing me.

I watched a movie last night starring Halle Berry.

She is beautiful and talented.

The shocker for me is finding out she is 55.

Really?

She doesn't look a day over 30.

I think I'll be putting some more of her movies in my queue.

For, um, future admiration.

Passion is a funny thing.

It's normal to look at someone attractive and wonder what it would be like to have sex with them.

But

what isn't easy to explain is the ones that creep into your head.

The ones you have no real interest in.

The ones that one day, for some unexplained reason, suddenly turn you on.

And no matter how you try to convince yourself otherwise make their way into your fantasies.

Example:

A cute blonde where I work.

She is definitely not my type:

Blonde, skinny, bossy.

I kept imagining bending her over her desk and drilling her hard.

Well, she started working from home during the pandemic and I found out she's moved on to another job.

Great, right?

No.

I got a friend request from her on Facebook.

When I looked at her profile, when I saw that pretty face again, I got really turned on.

So now I'm wondering...

should I pursue this?

Is someone the exact opposite of what I want really what I need?

Boy, the mind can be your own worst enemy sometimes.

48 years later and a score of broken hearts endured, I've learned that, sadly, you can.

I've been talking to dead people lately...

in my dreams.

I don't know if that's trying to tell me something or not.

I also keep dreaming about small towns around me that are empty of people.

Am I, in my late years becoming a psychic?
