Laid-back, easy going guy until my passions are aroused. I've been here 3 other times... I keep trying to get it right, I guess. lol

... I'm in an old Maytag repairman commercial. The one's where he's the loneliest guy in the world, because Maytags are so dependable. Why? I'm waiting on an electrician. ![]()

Breakers in the basement are not marked, so an electrician has been called. Stand by for more thrilling reports! ![]()

... had one whole wall's sockets go out? It happened to day to me. I heard a little 'pop' and the overhead kitchen light went out, along with the clock on the microwave. The stove and the refrigerator still work, but the garbage disposal and vent switch is not functioning. I walked into the next room and tried turning on the computer. Nothing. So, I moved the computer into the living room. I put a portable lamp in the kitchen - of course the batteries are low. Now I need to go down to the basement and try flipping a couple of circuit breakers (I hope they're marked) to see if I need to tell the landlord to call an electrician or not. Gotta love Mondays. ![]()

245 years. I remember the 200th and hopefully I'll make the 250th. No, we're not a perfect nation. Yes, we have a lot of work to do to make this 'a more perfect union'. We keep trying, though. Have a safe and happy holiday! ~

| Saturday, July 3, 2021, 6:44:25 PM- New neighbors? | ||
I went outside to throw away some trash today. I kept hearing 'quack, quack, quack'. It seems I have new neighbors on the other side of my privacy fence out back: A white duck, a black duck and a little scottie dog that follows them around everywhere they go. I'm looking forward to seeing the human(s) that live there with their creative montage. ![]()

Gettin' the old grill out for the weekend. Burgers? Hot dogs? Steak? It doesn't matter. I will cook some bacon on the grill for Sunday Brunch. I love the way it tastes and the shrinkage is minimal. And of course, Chicken breasts, with corn on the cob and baked potoatoes, wrapped in aluminum foil. You might say I love to grill. Bring me your wants & I'll make it happen. ![]()

| Thursday, July 1, 2021, 5:52:18 PM- Just a thought | ||
I wonder if anyone has done any research into the correlation between the pandemic lockdown and the uptick in violence in the U.S. That's a lot of pent up feelings waiting to be let out. Just a crossing thought on a Thursday afternoon. ~

There's nothing quite like coming home from working all night in over 100 degrees in the factory to a summer rain storm. Pull of the shirt, kick off the work shoes and let the rain wash the sweat off of your body. Glorious feeling! ![]()

| Tuesday, June 29, 2021, 6:17:07 PM- And proud of it | ||
I used to drink a lot. Partly because I've almost always worked second shift and before cable or satellite t.v. & computers came on the scene, there wasn't much to do after work. It was also because all of my friends drank. After my dad passed away in '94, I got drunk one last time. After that, I began to limit my alcohol intake. Now, I have no more than two drinks on Friday or Saturday. I never drive after any alcohol consumption. Hand in hand, when I cut back, those old 'drinking buddies' stopped calling or coming by. To be honest, I don't miss them. I've grown to like myself by myself. Imagine that... 21 years into the new century and I'm still drunk free. And I'm o.k. with that. ![]()

The song is right... Haters gonna hate. Players gonna play. I'm just gonna shake it off. 21st century advice. ~
