The Green Monster in left field at Fenway Park in Boston is a hitter's delight.

A player who consistently hits that wall is called a 'Wallbanger'.

If the Red Sox ever get a player with the first or last name of Harvey who can do the trick,

He will be fondly called a 'Harvey Wallbanger'.

A side plus would be the revival of the 1960s, '70s drink.

It is 10:00pm. I just woke up.

My vertigo has been kicking my ass, so I suppose my body needed to recharge.

I once slept for two days straight when I had a bad case of the flu, so this is nothing.

If you pay attention, your body will tell you what it needs.

I bought a pocket knife last week and decided it was too big.

I bought a smaller one (by 1 1/2" and it is perfect for my pocket.

I know I sound like a fussy beauty queen with her consorts,

but this one is just right.

I should also apologize to 'Goldilocks & the Three Bears'.

Sometimes an analogy just fits, that's all.

I saw one of the workers at the zoo playing with her beaver.

I told her if she trimmed it, more people would want to play with it.

I left before she called security.

I thought I had a lock on this Vertigo.

I awoke this morning feeling dizzy when I turned over in bed.

I suppose that's what I get for thinking.

Watching a team you root for can make you feel good.

Sometimes, like today, not so much.

When you're team is ahead 7-2 and then loses 9-8,

it may not ruin your day,

but it sure can put a damper on it.

I had a pocket knife that first belonged to my Grandfather, then my Father.

I carried that little knife for years.

The thing I loved about it was that the smaller blade had been blunted and made an excellent screwdriver in an emergency.

I've either lost it or I've misplaced it.

So I decided to buy a new one.

Maybe someday I'll give it to one of my grand nephews.

I decided to see if it needed sharpening and instead of using a piece of paper,

I lightly ran my finger across the blade.

Yep, it's sharp all right.

The band aid on my finger will attest to that.

I just found out about 5 minutes ago that a friend of mine, living in Hawaii, has passed away from lung cancer.

We met in high school and instantly connected.

One of the really good guys.

Farewell my friend.

Rest in Peace, buddy.

THE worst excuse I've heard for not getting the Covid-19 vaccine:

"I've already had it."

When I ask if they went to see a doctor, the answer has been the same:

"I didn't need to, I just stayed in bed for three or four days, it was like having the flu."

I don't argue with them - what good would it do?

It's rather odd that their friends and family didn't get it, just because you went to bed.

People are living in denial.

The same people won't wear a mask, either.

If I ask people now if they've been vaccinated and they say no, I don't even ask why any more.

I just walk away from them.

There is no cure for people living (possibly) on borrowed time.

I hope you don't get the disease, I really do.

I just want to thank you for being so selfish and not being a team player.

Because we're all in this together.

It's not just all about you.
