I awoke today to see snow on the ground. It wasn't bad - the roads and sidewalks are clear. As I sat drinking my morning tea and gazing out of the window, I was reminded of a saying I heard as a kid, that the date of the first snowfall would be how many snows you'll have that winter. 14 isn't a bad number.
