As a follow up to the previous blog, here is a better known tune from Warren Zevon. I've enjoyed this tune since it was first released. The video is very good. Another Youtube gem...

You can't listen to 1960-70s era music and not include Bridge Over Troubled Water. A beautiful song that I enjoy more each time I listen to it...

Saturday, August 31, 2013, 7:53:38 PM- Something...
A beautiful, moving tune from one of the greatest albums ever recorded. George Harrison wrote this tune and Eric Clapton played the solo. All around great tune. Sounds exceptional on headphones. The Beatles were always on top of the cutting edge recording technology of the day...

What better way to go into the weekend than with Here Come The Mummies-Attack of the Wiener Man. Great band, fantastic lyrics and a whole lotta fun from beyond the grave... All the Pharaohs are raving!

Monday, August 26, 2013, 12:17:07 AM- Linda Ronstadt-Blue Bayou
In honor of the great Linda Ronstadt, who revealed she has Parkinsons disease. Although she can longer sing, she has left us some truly wonderful songs to remember her unique and beautiful voice by. This is a song originally recorded by Roy Orbison.

Monday, August 12, 2013, 1:10:56 AM- Ah, the innocence and grooviness of the '60s
The Monkees are often overlooked in Rock history or relegated to a footnote mention. Yes, they were a manufactured band, but they did contribute some fine Pop music to the mix. By the time they disbanded, they were writing and performing their own music, not playing along to a session band.Ironically, Michael Nesmith, who was a guitarist and musician, was not allowed to play initially.
