the way? yesterday we spent here, poor dum was miserable, burning up with fever and grumpy. today we wake up and he's feeling 100%, while i feel like someone's put ma body in a dryer with a few pairs of boots. hopefully my immune system will beat the shit out of whatever germs he gave me. not sure tho, these yankee germs are tough lil bastards.

even tho he knows not to joke about it anymore, i wish i could just stay here and never move back to florida. between the stress and heartache @ work, and the fact that i've been uber relaxed this past week (my fingernails apparently grow when i'm not chewing them off) it would seem like a dream to just let my plane ticket lapse.

of course, MO's not a right to work state, and i'd have a HUGE problem with that. for those of you not savvy...this is a union state, and 6 months after you get hired, if it's a union job, you HAVE to join the union. which i'm firmly against. unions had their place in time, and that time has passed. coming from an employee owned company and being xxxxxx to pay union dues for something i don't believe in, is a deffo mark in the CON list for st. louis. then there's the weather.....
i don't do snow.

nope, can't won't, DON'T.

so we'll stick to the plan, move him in with me, until the property in georgia is ready. it's always nice to dream about never going back to the headaches and hassles of your everyday life, but then reality comes crashing down. i've worked my ass off to be where i am right now, and even if i did drop everything and move, there would still be headaches and hassles here.

k, sorry bout the confusing post, it helps me to ramble out everything, and ya'll are the lucky ones that have to slog throu it. *harharhar*

gotta love the st. louis weather, had a hella snowstorm when i came in thursday, and quite a bit of friday. monday it was sunny and in the mid 60's, and today there's severe thunder/lightning storms with tornado's possible. bleh...

add to that, dum's coming down with a cold, running a fever and body aches. if he's still feeling ill tomorrow (and try as he might, he can't get away with lying to me) we'll have to cancel our trip to see meanie. =( i can't see a 5 hour road trip and massive amounts of drinking as good for one's cold. let's cross our fingers, shall we?

other than that, we've just been hanging around the house, being anti-social and immersing ourselves in eachother. it's looking better and better that he'll be moving in with me next month. i really can't wait to have this all the time.

no, not OURS, silly. matt's friends wedding was lovely. i don't think i've ever been in a catholic church before. but it was very pretty, if oh so slightly more religious than any other wedding i've been to. alot of praying, and singing of hymns, and the ritualistic answering back to the priest (peace be with you, etc) how do they remember all these phrases???

but anyway. after the wedding, the reception wasn't until about 4 hours later. so we went to the mill with a bunch of other people. had drinks, beer and uv blue bombs. omg those are tasty. dum took me to eat, then we went back to the bar for a lil while longer.

the reception, was pretty cool....open bar, decent grub

i didn't see the wedding cake! dammit, i can't believe i forgot to check it out. too much of the open bar

dancing, etc. we COULD NOT find ANYONE with a condom, either at the bar, or the reception. finally....we got our hot lil hands on one. then snuck off upstairs for a lil wedding reception nookie. it MUST have been good, seeing as how i woke up with my spine bruised in a few places...lol

i promised pics of maself all dolled up, and yes, i did knock his socks off

so last night, me and dum met Fiercie and FG2 @ dummys local haunt, the mill. we walked past them outside, till FB said HEY! lmao....apparently, FG2 recognized me before he did.

two more beautiful people than i should ever hope to meet. i really thought they wouldn't stay long, but the beer and conversation was plentiful, tons of laughs, and an argument between FB and dum about whether or not FB was an OG main street kid. FG1 couldn't be there *sob* but she did send nakked pics, so i forgive her. lmao.... we're invited to the fierce house tonight, and i do believe me n dum will make an appearance. of course, i took pics, and with their permission, i'll show ya

so after dum drives past me....TWICE.... he parks. by this time i'm all kinds laughing my ass off, so i prop myself up against a piller and wait for him to come to me.

que: movie music, swelling score, angels singing etc as we kiss.

finally!

so, we load up the chester van with ma bags, dum hands me my beer, and we're off...
it's snowing, lightly at first, but NONE of the roads have been plowed. it DOES NOT do this in florida, so i'm freaked.
there are no lanes......what once was a 5 lane interstate has become a kinda 3 lane-ish road. the chester van only slid once, but i was drinking my beer as quick as i could get it down. the snow started coming down harder. the windshield on my side has iced over, which is ok, since i'm covering my face anyway.

then the windshield on dum's side ices over. i wonder if we're going to pull over so he can scrape off the ice or not. but no, dum rolls down his window, and sticks his head out to see where we're going.

florida girl DOES NOT LIKE THIS.

amazingly, we make it to the house, and after some snuggles handed to ma babies (charlie and cassie) and a hug given to pop, me n dum settle down to talk and kiss and cuddle.

he gave me my present, since i had such a rough time getting here. this necklace is beautiful...opalite quartz and freshwater pearls. there will be a pic taken today.

i won't go into details about what we did next, but suffice it to say, we did....4 times. finally around 5am we crash..

dum's making me breakfast now, so i'll go.

yep, damn Mother Nature!! i made it here.......the loooooooong way. instead of flying out of ma town, to memphis @ 4:20pm, i find out NW airlines are delayed, and i'll miss my flight out of mem. so they hand me over to delta. i leave @ 5:45 pm bound for atlanta. thanks to the thunder storms in georiga, i get to fly around and around and AROUND atl. i don't know if my ticket is in atl time, or my time, and i'm thinking my phone is on MY time, therefore, i have 10 minutes to make it the almost 2 miles to ma gate. so your faithful narrator strapped on her hot pink camo backpack (yea yea, YOU know who i'm dating) and RANNNNNNNNNNNNN. as out of breath as i was, ty joe camel, i looked up and saw a sign for my gate...1000 ft. away. ffs.........i show up at the gate, out of breath and in pain, to discover that my phone switched itself to eastern time, and i had an hour!!!

several smokes, and txts and phone calls later, i get on the plane. may i remind you, dear readers, that i've been up since 3am.

FINALLY, i fly into st. louis. coming down was awesome, seeing everything under a blanket of pristine white. i call dum as we're landing, and he starts off on what is normally a 15 minute drive. 30 minutes later, i see the chester van coming up. i walk out into the road to greet my love..........and he drives right past.

i don't know if it's because i'm tired, working alot, been getting ma ass chewed on a regular basis, or a mixture of all or some of these, but i'm worn down to a frazzle. it's deffo time for my vacation. for reasons other than the obvious

i need to get away from this house, this state. i especially need to get away from my boss, because if i don't.........soon.........physical harm and/or property damage will most assuredly occur.

on the other hand, this isn't just ANY vacation...getting to see and touch and kiss and hold and....ummmm...that...getting to do all that and more with and to dum is exactly what the doctor has ordered.

and going to his friends wedding..i bought a knock-his-socks off dress, droolworthy shoes, and even have his mom helping me do ma hair. i can't wait to see the look on his face when he sees me all dolled up.

these past days since i wrote ma last blog? feckin HORRIBLE!! but it's over, with some crying on dum's shoulder, and a fairly good amount of beer.

had the day off today, took myself to lunch, relaxed on the couch etc etc etc.

it's thursday, which means in exactly ONE week i'll be seeing the love of my life again. wish life had a fast forward button, so i could make the 31st today. and then a freeze frame button, so i can make his kisses last months instead of minutes.
