well....went to see puddle of mud last night. had to wait out in the 40 degree weather for almost an hour! even tho i already had tickets!! good thing i changed ma mind and didn't wear that bikini top.

got inside and downed a quick shot of voddy, just to warm up, mind you. stood around with the birthday girl and the group until the warm-up bands started. we made our way over to the stage, and OMG there were so many people, we couldn't see the stage. we all took turns jumping on april's hubby's back so we could at least get a glimpse of puddle of mudd. well, till security told us to stop. feckin spring break and a girl can't get on a guy's back?!? blah

near at the end of the show, i made my way back to the bar for another beer. there i met random chick. she told me her name, but i forgot it before ma beer was done. we flirt and touch. omg she was cute! your basic bull dyke. not muscular, but tone, with short curly black hair she had pulled back into a pony tail. she brought me back to her table where her friends were sitting. funny enough, two of the guys at her table were two boys i used to babysit. ffs....makes me feel old.

we all went back to random girls place for more beer that WASN'T $4.00 a can. i spent a lil quality time with RG on the couch, lmao, surprisingly she still wanted to kiss me after i told her i wished i were kissing my boyfriend. *sighs* yea...i was drinking. hahahahaha

the two boys i used to babysit live past me, so one drove ma truck home, with me in it. which was nice, cuz i wasn't able to drive at all.

all in all, a good night, wish i had thought to take some pics of RG, at least one of me kissing her, *rolls her eyes* i always forget i have a damn camera.

OMGGGGGG! just saw the first of the commercials promoting our cakes!!! whooooohooooooo!! we've never had TV ads, as there wasn't enough stores in the area to justify the expense. but now we do i guess! that's awesome...gotta make sure i have some ganache on hand for any extra orders...

just got off the phone with my ex. we talked about an hour, filling each other in on our different lives and what's happening to family etc. he wants to push the divorce throu now, no questions asked, no stipulations, just get it done.

which is MORE than fine by me

i'm just ready for it be over.

in other news, had an interesting manager's meeting today. boss' new tactic to get me "ready" for my own store...

the manager with no arms

for one week i won't be allowed to unload a truck, mix a dough, decorate a cake, nothing! just delegate to my crew, do my paperwork, and interact with customers. it should be interesting, no? i don't know if i'm gonna be able to handle it. one of the main reasons i'm where i'm at now, is because when i'm at work.....i want to WORK. as one of my associates says, i'm on the "git er done" program. i think after 3 days of not being able to work, i'm going to be pulling my hair out. paperwork is great and all, i love seeing all the numbers in all the columns add up, and seeing how one thing affects another on paper... but....comeon! i usually knock out my weeks worth of paperwork in 3 hours, tops. of course that's spread out throu the week, in 15-20 minute blocks...but OMG....one week......50 hours.......no production?!?

we'll see how this goes. my week with no arms won't be until april or so...*rolls her eyes* spring break, our busiest time...and i'm gonna be standing around with my thumb up my ass.

right.......so i bought a bikini.

which, in and of itself, is not a huge thing. but for ME.....omg.

i'm the girl you see at the beach with shorts and a t-shirt on. the girl @ the pool swimming in that same outfit.

and even tho this thing is in NO WAY skimpy by today's standards...for me? i feel practically nakked in public. i just showed it to dum, and he's given me the confidence to wear it...

p.s. is it weird that i would rather post pics of my nakked ass here than a bikini on the beach?

been in a great mood all day. no real reason for it, i mean hell, if you THINK about it, i really shouldn't be. didn't get but 3 hours sleep last night (thanks baby), i have to take ma truck back to the shop, as the wheels are making scary squeeky noises (i'm afraid they're gonna fall off), it was another busy day. but i was smiling and giggling and singing to maself all day. my customers were generally happy and wiling to play along when i was especially silly, snowbird-"i can't decide which danish i want today" me-"buy one of each" away he walks with one of each....heheheheheheh cha-ching!

and ma good mood rubbed off to ma crew, who were all smiles and laughter as well. me and one of ma girls started singing along with a temptations song that was playing over the loudspeakers...getting louder and louder as the song went on. we finished in a fit of laughter and were applauded by the deli and a bunch of the customers in the dept. lol.... delicious baked goods, AND a free floor show...let's see ya get THAT anywhere else!!

so with all the rain yesterday, (estimated 8-12 inches) the town was shut down today, schools closed due to so many roads flooded out. of course, MY way to work was clear so off i went. we have another system moving in as i type, another 8 to 10 inches expected, with severe thunderstorms and possibly a twister or two. as i was coming home, i realized the bayou had risen to within 6 inches of the road, almost covering the bridge i have to cross to get to work/home. i wanted to see just how high the waters were, so went across the street to my lil fishing spot and OMG, the water's up over 6 feet!!! i took pics

i usually park my truck about 4 feet past where the water is now.

that line of trees? in the middle of the water? is where the bayou usually starts

this is my favorite tree of all time, climbed it when i was a young'in... just thought the accidental effect of the tree being so clear and the floodwaters so hazy was cool....

no worries about my house, the water would have to rise 20 ft or more to even begin to creep into my driveway...i just freak out about tornadoes.

my truck was running wonky last night, almost broke down several times. lucky i just got my income tax return (goodbye laptop)

took it to the shop i usually get my tires from, and find out that my ex, last time he changed my spark plugs, he didn't put the new plugs in completely. only finger tightened them. so ALL the plugs are fouled, the boots are shot, the intake, manifold, and egr valve is completely clogged with carbon buildup. i have no idea what any of this stuff does, but i know it cost me over $500.

so yea....even if your married to them, don't let anyone work on your vehicle but a mechanic in a shop.

time for women everywhere to guilt their men into buying them cards, candy, roses, and diamonds because halmark said so. i've never celebrated valentines day, and even if i did, today would be a bad day for it. too worried about ma dum to be of any use.

never really watched him while he sleeps....

a more beautiful face i've never seen this side of heaven....peaceful, loving, happy.

but i love when he sleeps, for so many reasons. the best of which he talks in his sleep..........i can talk to him and have instant access to his deepest feelings, or his dreams.....depending.

i tell him i love him, and his hand clenches on mine, his free arm moves to encircle me....

and even in his deepest sleep, he says he loves me too........
