I was raised in the midwest. I live there now. All my life I have heard bad things about people who are Jewish. Growing up, I was surrounded by people whose families had moved north from the south for better jobs. I only knew one guy who was Jewish and I met him in high school. Over time I met his family. They were/are great people. I know it's a small sample to learn from, but my opinion of Jewish people is a pretty good one. ~ | ||

I've worked as a meter reader in the past. Freezing cold out walking in the winter (I had both hands frostbitten) and hotter than Hell in the summer. Plus rain and snow to contend with. I've worked in three different factories. One was so hot I popped the top off of two thermometers at 120 degrees. For those of you enduring the heat on the job, inside or out: Stay hydrated! ~ | ||

I fought the good fight and lost. With extreme effort, I tried to stay awake for the last 20 minutes or so of a program I wanted to see to the end. 30 minutes later I awoke in my recliner with something else entirely on the screen. Thank God for DVR's. I rewound quickly and watched what I had missed in my sleep. It was a good ending, but not as satisfying. ~ | ||
