Laid-back, easy going guy until my passions are aroused. I've been here 3 other times... I keep trying to get it right, I guess. lol

I just saw a t.v. commercial with a phrase included I made up years ago. Unlike a lot of people today, I'm not contacting my lawyer. It actually makes me happy that something I've said is remembered. ~

Thanksgiving is over. Today is black Friday. Will I be out shopping? Yes, but not for Christmas deals. I will be shopping at the grocery instead. I have found, after several years of research, that grocery stores are fairly empty on Black Friday. At least for one day I can avoid the crowds. ~

One of those comments you don't want to hear while eating your Thanksgiving dinner: "Well, butter my butt and call me biscuit!" ~ Happy Thanksgiving!

I thought of writing a book titled 'My Wit and Witticisms', but discarded the project due to lack of material. ~

I was sitting in a bar, having a drink and munching on some peanuts that were in a bowl on the bar. A lady near me leaned over and asked if she could have some of my penis. Taken aback, I asked her to repeat herself. Peanuts, she said. Bemused, I told her what I thought she had said. We laughed... and then she had some of both. ![]()

I watched the last episodes of 'Fear the Walking Dead' Sunday night. Today I'm wondering how the character Alicia came back at the end of the show with both of her arms, since she left the show with only one arm? Hmmm...

No thoughts today. I'm spending my day watching violence-numbing American football. ~

Every time I try to find an item I'm looking for online, it's like pulling teeth. Enter what you want in the website's search engine and you will find that 90% of the items offered are NOT what you're looking for. That's how lazy people are today... ... they'd rather sit and scroll than get off their butts and actually do some in person shopping. ~

| Friday, November 17, 2023, 7:21:39 PM- Gut check | ||
When your gut tells you to do something, don't ignore it. As I prepared for my morning walk today, I thought I was ready. I had on my hooded raincoat, but a look down made me think that maybe I should put on my rubber rain/snow boots. "Nah", I thought, "it's only sprinkling outside, I'll be o.k." Halfway through my walk the rain steadily got heavier. By the time I had returned home I was soaked from the shins down, which was the area my boots would have covered. Never say no to your gut. ~

People my age like to talk about how great it was growing up in the 1960s: We were on the brink of nuclear war in 1962. Peaceful civil rights marchers were attacked by segregationists. Our president was assassinated in 1963. Peaceful anti-war protesters were attacked by police and shot by the National Guard. A presidential front runner and a man of peace were both assassinated in 1968. From the time I entered 7th grade in 1964 until I graduated from high school in 1970, there were race riots in my school every year. Yes, the 1960s were a great time to grow up... If you kept your eyes shut and your ears closed. ~
