At age 19, I took some cash ($10.00) from the register where a friend worked.

I never got caught and my friend didn't get in trouble.

A few months later I was fired from my job because money went missing from the register where I worked

and since I worked alone I was considered guilty.

A couple of days later my boss called to tell me they had caught the culprit - a 10 year old kid who hung out in the store all the time.

He never apologized.

He didn't say I could have my job back.

So I thanked him for telling me and hung up the phone.

I grew up with that guy.

I went to church with that guy.

Somehow my past character wasn't enough.

So I went on.

Later I realized karma had paid me a visit for what I had done a few months prior.

Lesson learned (as usual) the hard way.

An area code for toll free numbers.

A number with symbolic or numerological meaning in contexts like the concept of an 'Angel number'.

Nope, still don't know why i'm dreaming of the number.

Last night I was in bed for 20 minutes

when I heard the pizza guy cough -

then I remembered I came into my bedroom for my wallet.

On my morning walks, I've noticed a house in my neighborhood that's been decorated for Halloween...

since the first of September.

That coincides with Walmart,

which thinks we should shop for Christmas,

while dressing for Halloween and eating our Thanksgiving dinner.

Two of my frequent dreams are:

Being in a shopping mall

and

driving a 1964 Chevrolet Impala SS.

Our local mall opened in 1970 and I worked in three different stores over five years (1970-1975).

I bought the '64 Impala from my dad in '72 and drove it until I wrecked it in '76.

I sometimes wonder, after waking from one of these dreams, if I'm wanting to go back to those times

when I was 18 to 24 years old.

Or if they are symbolic of something deeper.

Maybe I'll figure it out someday.

Maybe I won't.

It doesn't matter...

they are pleasant dreams, not nightmares.
