The #1 dog breed in the U.S.A. is the Chihuahua. #1 in 21 states, including my own. As we seem to want to make everything smaller in our modern culture it makes sense. Why walk your furry pet when you can slip it in your pocket or purse and go. SMH. ~ | ||

I dream often. Most of the time I know it's a dream while it's happening, but some are so realistic it takes a moment to get over when them I wake up. I was once told that your dreams are about your other lives, which to me says alternative universes. I sometimes wonder... if I'm dreaming of them, are they dreaming of me? ~ | ||

I just watched a video on the origins of the state names in my country. I was born and now live in Indiana. It derives from being called 'indian land'. A rather boring name for a rather boring state. But I'm happy here, so who cares? ~ | ||

Since I decided 10 years ago to seriously cut back on drinking, it's nice to wake up a day after the 4th of July celebration and have no hangover, or no grumbly stomach. Life is good. Oh! And I can remember everything I did last night, too.  | ||

Today we celebrate our Declaration of Independence from England in 1776 in the United States. A lot of people in the U.S.A. think that that was when we became a country. Actually, England didn't like our declaration, so we had to beat them in the Revolutionary War to gain our independence. When a treaty was signed in Paris in 1783, we then became the United States of America. Just in case you didn't know. ~ | ||
