Yesterday was 85 degrees... warm for April around here. The weatherman said strong storms would pass through my area around 8:00pm and cool things down.

The storm finally passed through at 4:00 am today. 60 degrees for the high.

I can live with that. Just a month ago the highs were in the 30s.

Middle of the work week and I felt like indulging myself in some violence... Hollywood style. I'm watching: The Purge: Election Year, with the fabulous Elizabeth Mitchell.

Yes, I see the similarities with our current state of affairs in the U.S.A.

No, I wouldn't really want to go out and start murdering people. It's just a little fantasy relief.

I am a bit spoiled.

No, I don't have a lot of money... although my bank account HAS grown considerably since I finally went on Social Security while I'm still working. Making more money and working less hours is wonderful in itself. Being able to pay off a lot of debt while in this position is quite gratifying.

I'm 64 years old and I work afternoons. No, I don't really have a social life. I talk with people at work and at home on the internet. It took me a long time to figure out that I LIKE myself and being alone most of the time is a treat in itself. I've become my own best friend. I really enjoy that freedom to come and go as I please.

I'm now living a life I never thought I would have. I have money, I read what I want when I want and do the same with television and movies. I pick and choose my encounters with others. Although I am young at heart, I know strangers don't see me that way, so I stay out of places where singles hook up. No, I don't have a fulfilling sex life, but I DO have a rich fantasy life. In the end, I am content with the way my life has played out so far, and in another year and a half I'll be fully retired, which will expand my love of travel.

Yes, I am spoiled... and I love it!
