I've been looking for a newer car lately. A little smaller and better on gas mileage. Was talking about that with the maintenance guy where I live and he said he had just what I am looking for. The price quoted was in my wheelhouse, too. This was Friday afternoon. I told him to bring it by on Saturday.

Today, I sat here all day waiting for him to show. Needless for me to go in to detail, but I am very much disappointed.

Amazing! No weird clothing or hairstyles at Walmart yesterday. Everyone at least LOOKED normal.

Wednesday afternoons must be the safest time to shop there without being bombarded by the crazies.

Although...

After thinking I was going to see crazy, I'm a tiny bit disappointed that I didn't see crazy.

Warmed up to 87 over the weekend. A cold front is coming down from Canada and the high by Wednesday should top out at 70. Thanks so much for the cool down... I look forward to seeing people wearing winter coats. lol

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, I was attending college. In one of my classes, the subject of rewards for doing a good job came up. A lot of my fellow students talked about big rewards, such as clothing or jewelry... even a new car.

The instructor, hearing all of this, asked what the reward should be for a small job well done... like maybe if you're trying to lose weight or stop smoking and you make it through the day without eating too much or didn't smoke.

The class was silent. After a few seconds he said to give yourself a small treat, like going to a movie calling someone you miss talking with. Whatever makes you happy about the small jobs can spur you on to doing better at the bigger tasks ahead.

I've had a good week so far. Personal and professionally. Today is my short day of work... only five hours.

To celebrate, when I get home tonight I will have a Coca Cola and a medium sized bag of Doritos Heat Wave BBQ Nacho Chips.

Life's simple pleasures. That's what pleases me today.
