Laid-back, easy going guy until my passions are aroused. I've been here 3 other times... I keep trying to get it right, I guess. lol

I watched BlackkKlansman last night. Having been in my 20's when all of the moments occurred, I can say that historically, he got it pretty much right. Interesting and entertaining. ~

... what some people like to call 'hump' day. I can see the optimism. Middle of the week, all down hill until Friday. To me, it means that the roughest, busiest part of my week is coming, so, like they say in the military, I've got to hump it for two more days before I can rest. It's all in the eye of the beholder, you know? ~

This just seemed like a good song for a Tuesday. The lyrics are strange and the music mysterious: yeah, yeah, yeah. ![]()

| Monday, June 3, 2019, 6:48:22 PM- Sunday Blues? | ||
In most of the world, Sunday is considered the last day of the week, so it is a day most people have off... biblically a day of rest. In the Jewish faith, Saturday is the Sabath. People have written many songs about the 'Monday Blues'. Why haven't there been any songs written about the Sunday Blues? ~

Everyone who blogs seems to be weekenders. Through the week? Not much. Weekend? A bunch. Well, while all of you are slaving away on your blogs, I'm going outside on a picture perfect late spring day. Flowers in bloom, sunny sky, light northerly wind and only 73 degrees. I absolutely love it! ![]()

I finally received my HDMI adapter for my computer to t.v. hookup. The picture looks great on my big screen set. Now all I need is a wireless keyboard and mouse. Then I can surf the net from my recliner. Not bad for a 66 year old, computer ignorant old guy! Happy day! ![]()

I've just come off a chat with a classmate who lives across the country from me. On Facebook. About hair. Well, at least it was something different. ~

If you keep dreaming of an enemy's head being displayed in a glass case, you might just have some issues with someone that need to be addressed. In the meantime, try to maintain calming thoughts while around this person(s?) and stay away from sharp objects. ![]()

| Tuesday, May 28, 2019, 2:18:20 AM- I was almost asleep... | ||
... when the tornado sirens started going off. I got up out of my recliner, walked outside and stared at the southwestern sky for around 15 minutes. The sky went from almost black to gradually gray. The rain went from coming down in buckets to a light sprinkle. I thought about how years ago a tornado was heading towards the trailer I lived in out in the country. Realizing I didn't have time to go anywhere in search of safety, I grabbed a bottle of whiskey, a beer, my smokes and walked back to the safest place I could find - the bathroom. I poured a shot, opened the beer and lit a cigarette. I waited a few minutes, then knocked back the shot, drained the beer and took what might be my last hit off the cigarette. When nothing happened, I went through the trailer to the kitchen and looked out the windows. All was calm and getting clearer. At that time, I shrugged it off and carried on with what I had been doing. This time, no preparation. I figured if I saw a funnel cloud I'd head down to the basement and say my prayers. When nothing looked like it would happen, I went back to my recliner, turned on the t.v. and continued on. A long life can prepare you for a potential catastrophe. ~
