I think I might run away from home and join a ukulele band.

As soon as I learn to play one.

So I sent an email to the landlords office about my rent increase.

The lady in charge said that 'we' care about our tenants but they have to pay the increase in taxes.

A nice(?) way of saying tough luck, buddy.

We don't care where the money comes from...

if you don't pay it,

someone else will.

Sad.

I used to get along with the landlord,

but the last few times I've talked to him,

all he talks about is money, money, money.

I have helped pay for his kids college educations,

his two houses

and seeing him in a new vehicle every time I see him.

I guess that isn't enough.

I knew another guy like him, had known him for over 50 years

and he was the same way.

He died recently.

A wife but no kids.

Besides the wife,

who else will profit from his amassed wealth?

I wrote a few months back about having a rent increase,

the first I've had in over 20 years - $75.00 a month.

Difficult, but I can make it.

Today I received my lease extension for next year...

it's going up another $100.00 a month!

That will be 2/3 of my monthly retirement check.

If they want me to move,

why didn't they just tell me?

I broke the slider on the zipper of my favorite winter coat last winter.

I didn't want to pitch it,

so I decided to look for a new slider.

On Amazon they have a slider repair kit that advertises you can fix it in 20 seconds.

So I bought one.

I took it out of the wrapping,

followed the instructions and fixed it...

in about 10 seconds.

The item is German made and costs about $15.00 (with tax. no shipping because I have Amazon Prime).

A little bit expensive,

but worth the price for a dummy like me.

I saw a friend of mine getting ready to go play a round of golf yesterday.

I noticed he was putting a pair of trousers in his golf bag,

so I asked him why.

He told me they were there in case he got a hole in one.

Don't tell me the sky is the limit when there are footsteps on the moon.

There might be a place in Hell reserved for anyone who would put an electric motor in a classic car.

I've got a teeny-tiny bit of a peanut caught between a couple of teeth.

Flossing and a toothpick have not dislodged it.

It is driving me batty.

It is not happy people who are thankful.

It is thankful people who are happy.
