Someone once said, over 100 years ago, that what this country needs is a good 5 cent cigar. Impossible then and defy anyone now to find a good cigar for even 10 times that price today. ~

So I did some research on my numb toe. If all of your toes are getting numb, it could be a medical issue. If it's one toe, like mine, it's probably something as simple as ill fitting shoes. I have noticed in the past that my left foot starts to hurt a little after wearing my work shoes for a couple of hours. So I loosened the shoe. Wouldn't you know it? No more pain and no more numb toe. Sometimes the answers you're looking for are simple. Oh! And it was also suggested to elevate the feet to improve circulation. Well, if it helps, I'll spend more time kicked back in my recliner. ![]()

I have a numb toe. Kind of. The toe next to my big toe on my left foot feels numb when I first stand up and start to walk. After a few seconds it's fine. I first noticed it Monday night, when I stood up to walk into my kitchen. It doesn't really bother me. It doesn't hurt. Just feels kind of numb. What does bother me is trying to figure out what's causing it. No other part of my body. Just one toe. I believe an investigation is in order. ~

I was re-watching the 1969 western 'The Professionals' today and a line from Burt Lancaster stuck in my mind: "Do you realize that people are the only animals that make love face to face?" Of course, some people like it 'animal style'. ![]()

| Thursday, September 2, 2021, 6:17:51 PM- Again with the dreams | ||
Last night I had a dream I was out in the country. I was walking along a road and I could see in the distance an upcoming sharp 'S' turn. I know this road. It has long been used as a shortcut from the area where I grew up to another part of town. I wasn't walking alone, but I don't know who I was walking with, other than it was a woman. In the near distance, I could see a dog chained to a peg in the middle of the empty corn field. The chain was very, very long and reached across the road. The dog wasn't barking. In fact, it seemed friendly. It parelleled our walk. The odd part is that the dog kept changing color whenever I looked at it. It went from being a dark combination of black and gray, to brown and tan to finally white. So today, on a whim, I went to a dream interpretation site to see if I could find out the meaning. In short: A friendly dog is a good sign. That the dog turned white is good as well. The chain symbolizes being alone in old age. So a loose explanation would be that I will live my old age alone, but happily. I can live with that. Hopefully with a good dog. ~

It's nice to know that at the ripe old age of 69, I still think about sex. It still even permeates my dreams. I still fantasize quite a bit every day. I can still 'perform' whenever I get the opportunity. Sadly, I'm now like the old Native American standing on the corner repeatedly saying "chance" to passersby. In the joke, when asked if he doesn't mean "how", he replies: "I know how, I just need a chance." Such is life for a senior single. ~
