I was on break at work. I went outside to have a smoke and when I do, the mind starts to contemplate life in the stillness. I was thinking about a dream I'd had where I was a doctor. I have all kinds of vocations in my dreams: I've been a cop, a teacher, an actor - the list goes on and on. What dawned on me was this: If there are multi-verses of other earths in other dimensions, could our dreams be portals to see other versions of ourselves on these other earths? I kind of like the idea. I wouldn't expect every other one of me to be exactly the same. Just food for thought. ~ | ||

I have had an aunt (four months ago) and an uncle (two weeks ago) pass on this year. I have one aunt left now. I once had nine of each. Pictures bring back memories, but it isn't the same as seeing them and talking with them. What people tell you is true - cherish your family while you still have them. ~ | ||

I am not a foot fan. I can see why women paint their toenails, though. Otherwise we'd be looking at some pretty gross looking nails. I'm an old man now and the only time I wear flip-flops or go barefoot is around the house. I also don't like fake fingernails, but that's another subject for another day... the same with shaving off pubic hair. Some things (to me) are better off being more natural. Yeah, I'm an old guy in an ever changing world. ~ | ||

I got into contact with the love of my life not long ago. She is divorced now and living (still) in Alaska. She told me she had some issues with her memories about 6 years ago, and while she remembers me, a lot is forgotten or hazy. So I've spent the last week catching her up on 'us', which is weird. Luckily I have a good memory and can answer her questions. A small part of my brain thinks she might be faking to test how much we went through. But, I have always loved her and always will, so I will play along. Besides, I like a walk down memory lane. ~ | ||

Received an email from the landlord today. The front door to my building will now have a touch pad code for entrance and the back door to the parking lot will have key fob entry. I'm still waiting for an elevator to be installed, since a transporter is too early to obtain. ~ | ||

Yesterday I saw an Angel. I was walking down the stairs where I live and saw a vision of beauty approaching the front door to my building. A quick step later I opened the door with a smile to admit her. She smiled, thanked me and walked past me and started up the stairs I had just descended. For the briefest of seconds, the fantasy rushed through my mind that she would turn and ask me why I was waiting. Then she walked to my neighbor's door and was admitted. Hey - even and old guy like me can still dream, right?  | ||

I called customer service today to cancel my local newspaper. The price is going up to over $80.00 a month, which is too much. Well, the man I talked to gave me an offer I couldn't refuse - $24.00 a month for the next year. Like Michael Corleone said in 'The Godfather Part III': "Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in." Hey - they made me an offer I couldn't refuse. What else could I do? | ||
