My computer decided, against my agreement, to download Windows 11 for me. Then, after it took an hour and twenty minutes to download, it decided my computer was not compatible for Windows 11. Another 45 minutes to wipe the download out. This is not the first time my computer has made this decision for me. If I can find the 'how', it won't happen again. This is why it took me so long to blog something today. I apologize if it caused anyone any problems. ~ | ||

I had my flu shot and Covid-19 booster shot Monday. The whole process took a total of 10 minutes. Last year was the first time I had received a flu shot. I suppose now it will be an annual 'thing'. It's free, so Why the hell not? ~ | ||||||

For the past week or so, I've had a hacking cough. It was bad at first, then has lessened since. At first I thought it was my bronchitis coming around for the fall/winter. Then I thought it might be allergies. The symptoms did decrease after our first frost. So now I'm back to bronchitis. I keep hacking up mucus and my sinuses are crazy - going back and forth from blocked to runny. Then my final thought was this: Hell, man, you're 70 years old. Feel lucky it's the only thing you have to deal with right now. As the old saying goes: This too shall pass. ~ | ||||||

The Major League playoffs have been quite entertaining thus far. Today I saw a 15 inning game won on a walk off home run, then a team come back from being down 8-1 to win 10-9. Staying tuned!  | ||

Walking at work, doing my rounds, when i start to hear an odd sound. Kind of a flapping sound. I finally realize it's me - more to the point, it's one of my shoes. It picked that time for the rubber sole to start coming loose from the leather upper. Since I work mostly alone, I fixed the problem the old school way: Duct tape! So I have one black shoe and one silver & black shoe. I'll make it through work tonight. I ordered new shoes today and I'll have them to wear next week when I go back to work from the weekend off. One more problem solved. You could even say that I'm unflappable.  | ||

The lady from the office is late bringing me my lease to sign. Normally I would just print out a copy myself and drop it by the office. BUT My printer ran out of ink and since everything has to be done post haste today, the office is happily bringing me a copy to sign. I suppose I should take it as being important. I'm still waiting, though. ~ | ||
