The wife and myself seemed to figure out how to argue via email while at work.

6:05 pm - Arrived home
7:00 pm - Ate dinner
7:30 pm - cleaned dishes
8:00 pm - Turned on TV
8:15 pm - wife asleep on couch
9:00 pm - wife went to bed.

All that and maybe she said 10 words to me all evening. Its colder inside than outside where it's about 9 degrees!

Tic Toc... time is running out for this 3 day holiday. It's back to work tomorrow!

It's still plenty cold outside with no relief in sight. So I'm trying to do a little painting to keep busy. Later this afternoon it's off to the movies. We're seeing it's complicated!

It seems like its Sunday but it's only Saturday. I'm bored and there's not much going on unless you're a huge football fan. Now I love football but my team already lost so the season seems over.

Today we did buy a new stainless steel range & oven. Ours is so dated looking. It's on back order so it'll be here at the end of the month.

My daughter & husband are still here. It's time they headed back home. Everyone has their limits.

Its already the 2nd day of the new year. When I was sipping my coffee this morning I glanced at the temperature outside. It was reading a single digit of 4! It's just fucking cold.

With my daughter & her her husband here for yet another weekend the house seems full again and not much time available to update my blog. But what do I talk about?

Hmmm..... New Years Eve was quite uneventful even though we didn't get home until nearly 2:00 a.m. No, we didn't celebrate by body slamming each. It's just not in the book anymore so we just skip all those chapters. My wife isn't interested & it shows enough that my daughter even asked if we were divorcing?

When I took the Christmas lights down from outside the house every one of them were thrown into the trash. Next year, all new lights.

It's only Saturday

My half day at work is done & now I'm already chilling for the afternoon. Actually I wish I had something to do until the game starts in a few hours. There's a $20 dollar riding on the outcome with my brother in California.

Meanwhile everyone be careful tonight if you're planning to go crazy celebrating!

This morning it looked like a winter wonderland then later this afternoon it was all gone!

Anyway, I hope everyone has a great new years tomorrow. Guess we're creatures of habit by going over to a friends house to play cards, drink & whatever comes to mind!

I was going to say something nice for a change about my wife but then she walked in the door with an attitude. So I changed my mind!

Everyone got something they didn't need for Christmas. For me it was a GPS unit like I'd get lost driving the 2 miles to work. So quick as a bunny I returned & got a mini Flip Video camera. Watch out because I'm working with a brand new toy!

It's snowing pretty good outside and this time everything is sticking. It seems fitting for the last day of this Christmas weekend holiday. Hopefully, I'll venture out in it to snap a few snowy pictures. But I've already been out for a short while I retrieved the newspaper by the street. Now we'll have to wait & see how long it continues to fall.

My daughter & husband are scheduled to drive back home this morning. I am so glad I don't have to make the 3 hour drive but they are on a mission. They purchase their new TV here but are picking it up back at the local Best Buy store. They really racked a bunch of cool stuff for their first Christmas together. Everyone is excited for them.

I do feel good about these past few days. The family was together and enjoyed each others company. For parents that's what its all about.

For me, it would have been better if there was a little more passion but being comfortable with no drama was enough I suppose!

I hope everyone had a tremendous holiday! Everyone in our family thought this Christmas was one of the better ones in recent years so... yes, We had nice one to remember.

Meanwhile my son & his family have already returned home. My daughter & her new husband have gone shopping for a new flat panel TV armed with $700 in gift cards. They are worried about fitting it into their car for their journey home tomorrow.

The sun decided to show its face today but the temperature is still hovering below freezing at 27 degrees. Yesterday we got snow than expected but its quickly disappearing.

My list of gifts was somewhat limited this year but included the black Patagonia micros fleece I asked form son. My wife had no idea what I wanted so she bought me a GPS unit as if I might get lost driving the 2 miles to work. It looks like that might be returned for a small flash memory camcorder that got my eye recently. Good thing I do have a gift to be added to get a nice decent unit.

I already have a miniDV camcorder but its such a pain to capture any video before burning it to the format I need for email or posting... HeHeHe
