Yesterday was a real dragger at work... it was Monday of course and the 1st day back from vacation. After getting home I learned the true meaning of boredom. The resentment towards my wife grows each day. Maybe its a good thing because a week ago she xxxxxx me to stop smoking.. So far so good. But we are just so mean towards each other. | ||||||

It will take me time to catch up with the rest of the world. Tomorrow will begin early. Most of the time I woke up at 9:00 a.m. And I never sleep in that late. Chicago is always impressive with some of the tallest buildings in the world.  Shopping? No problem to find anything you want!  Rest of the week was spent overlooking Lake Michigan. This was about the only day with sun.. but what a view!  | ||||||

Thanksgiving with the family is great but it feels great getting back home. Chicago was fun enough which included lots of shopping, eating out and going to Second City. I'll have to write more in a little while. At least the unpacking is complete! | ||||||

Saturday is winding down and this might be my last update for a while. I have no idea what time we're leaving although there's no rush to get to Chicago. We'll be there for a few days before heading onward to Michigan. There aren't any grand plans. We haven't even thought about packing yet but that process will begin pretty soon. We should be gone a week & the only reason we'll be gone that long is I've got extra vacation days from work that have to be used up or I lose them. So for while this is it! | ||||||

The long wait is over because my newly married daughter finally got a real job. She's been doing a little part time work but now she's thrilled. What a relief to know their income will nearly double and we can quit sending her a little cash to tide them over. Now everyone can relax for the holidays. Maybe they buy their own big screen TV now! | ||||||

We're heading north for Thanksgiving. The first stop will be in downtown Chicago where we'll spend a few days doing whatever. Plans are still still being made but we hope to get in a show at Second City. After that we'll swing around the east side of Lake Michigan and up to the in-laws house. It'll be a big family gathering as it always is. The weather is going to suck! Rain and chilly.. same as here! We leave on Sunday. | ||||||

When you heard the term "slip & slide" several images can emerge. If you have kids then you'd automatically think of the plastic water slide gizmo you see on TV. But if your mind is working overtime then you start thinking about a slippery cock as it slides in! However, if you live around here then it's the traffic situation with all the rain. Here it is in mid Nov and it was like summer outside. Well, summer if you live in Canada or something but it was still so nice. The windows are open & I even took my bike out for a ride. The leaves cover much of the streets but it doesn't matter. I actually worked up a sweat.. in November. Just awesome. This time I took my camera to the park and it's easy see everyone out doing the same thing... just chilling in this fantastic weather. The bad news is it's going to rain tomorrow. So Sunday will be the day to clean the house & maybe take in a movie. We'd like to see Pirate Radio.  | ||||||

No, the renovation to the office isn't done until I get all stuff from the drawers into a new storage area. My new desk doesn't have any drawers. Where's this stuff go? I bought a small bookcase and after assembling that too... it'll go in the closet. My scanner doesn't get used much any more so it'll go in the closet too. When ever I need it I'll just plug in the USB port and scan away! Maybe I wouldn't even be getting all this done so quickly but the wife is mad at me. Nothing new about that. She thinks I'm too "needy". Needy? How do you fight that battle? | ||||||
