I was taking care of business with no problems today. The owner is out of town so I'm wearing a lot of hats which isn't a problem. After everyone was gone.. I turned off the lights, locked the building and started driving home in the dark at the end of the day. What I really needed was a slow yet firm hand job! | ||||||

Yesterday I made a list of projects I wanted to finish before the winter was over. (These are inside projects). I compiled 12 items. Some are easy & some might take a weekend. Anyway yesterday I crossed off 2 of 12. Guess what? They were the easier ones! I'm on my 3rd which is time consuming but not terribly hard. We've got an assortment of old home movies etc.. on VHS tape. I'm now reformatting & recording them on DVD before the tape becomes too brittle. Lucky for me I had a old simple DVD recorder which hasn't been used in several years. I just used some coaxial TV cable and I'm in business. The old VHS tape looks pretty crappy but at least I'm transferring them now! | ||||||

We were getting ready to leave work when someone cracked a joke & I busted out with a laugh and smile. My co-worker said I think that's the first smile I've seen on you in nearly a week or longer. Then they said "look, I know you don't want to go home but look on the bright side..... you get to come back to work tomorrow". It hit me. Do I seem that serious or unhappy all the time? OMG! | Tuesday, January 12, 2010, 12:48:22 AM- New Range | ||||||
We knew the new range was being delivered today. One of the conditions of installation was I had to remove the old one. No big deal right? Wrong? The building code says we did a cut off valve right at the appliance location. I shouldn't waited so late yesterday because all the building supply stores were close so I dashed off early this morning. I don't do plumbing very well & of course bought the wrong size valve. Back again to Home Depot. Success! But by then I was just beyond myself and was cussing like a sailor on shore leave! But now that our new 5 burner convention range is installed all is good. At least for right now!  | ||||||

We traveled west 2 hours to my son's house, My daughter & her husband was there too. Everyone spent the night after playing wii until after midnight. My grand daughter keeps getting bigger & bigger every time we see her. It won't be longer before she's begins walking but I'm sure I've got the timeline all mixed up. Now I need a rest before going back to work but that's not going to happen. I shoveled some snow off the driveway. Hopefully the sun will do its thing but its still well below freezing. | ||||||

At least the sun is shining this Saturday but its still terribly cold at 12 degrees. Soon we'll be leaving to celebrate my wife's birthday at my son's house. It's a 2 hour drive & will spend the night. My daughter will be there too. Consider it a family gathering and it was planned so my wife can spend more time with her grand daughter. I think we'll be playing a lot of wii. Last night was a giant bust. Instead of relaxing after working all day my wife scheduled a visit with the builder. It was a surprise to me but I learned to just keep my mouth shut and my head low. No sense in getting into a big fight right before B'day. Right now she's out cross country skiing with friends. Yes, she has her own skis because the wife IS from Michigan. | ||||||
