It's been raining for way too long. I'm talking heavy downpours for a hour at a time. Maybe we had 4" in the last 24 hours. Everything is just saturated and just plain fucking wet. The good news is my car is clean.

My wife needs to use the computer all afternoon. Maybe I'll cal my daughter and see if she wants to go to the movies this afternoon. What's playing now that's worth seeing?

It's about noon on a Friday. The opening game for our Cardinals starts in about 2 hours but it's pouring rain right now. I'm thinking rain delay. Good thing I don't have tickets!

My unemployment days are coming to an end. I've decided to make a giant career change into real estate. It's been a down market for so long but the turn upwards has already begun. My spirits are better than it has been in months. I am so ready!

Since my grill is brand new I decided to do up some BBQ chicken. Everything was going great. I even bought some corn on the cob. Potato salad too! After a while I turned the chicken over and did some other things inside. A few minutes later I checked the chicken. Nothing! No Heat, No flame! ERrrrrr!!! I hadn't checked the tank and it went empty on me! Good thing I keep a spare ready and waiting! Life was good again!

It seems I always have trouble staying asleep, not falling asleep. Last night was no different even though I had the whole bed to myself. It was 3:00 a.m. and I couldn't help but watch the time click slowly one minute at a time.

The new prescription for my sleep meds don't seem to work. I had the script changed last month because I felt I was hooked on them. All I know is I said fuck this pulled the sheets away and stroked myself off until I came. Now that's a prescription that help you sleep every time.

Its been hot lately and today its going up to 92. Do I need to mention that the AC is running?

Yesterday I bought a new grill but haven't assembled it yet. My plan was to do it today. I cleaned off a section of the driveway and plan to spread out the parts and just get it done... in the heat.

My wife left this morning for the week. She's on her own taking a 35 hour online course so she borrowed a friends lake house to hide in so I wouldn't bother her. So I'm cooking for one!

Out of the blue a friend of mine where I used to work says let's meet. He's about to take a job with another larger firm. The other firm wants to know if I'm interested in possible employment too. It all sounds very cool but I don't think it's exact match for me. And it would mean moving to another state east of here.

I seriously doubt this will go much further than the talk stage but it feels great to be chased a bit. The best part is they know me already and made the first overture.

I can't believe how busy I've been this past week. You'd think that being in between jobs those extra time would be available. My daughter had this week off from work so we spent a lot of quality time bonding. OK.. I've had enough of that now.

What I really need is some R&R with some TLC!

80 degrees yesterday. 84 degrees today. For mid march it doesn't get much better than this unless I was fucking! But seriously, this weather is outstanding. It's been the first time this year that I'm wearing a t-shirt, shorts and flip flops.

Out back I have the top of my kitchen table up on stands while I refinish it. The sanding and staining is done. A few coats of polyurethane and it'll be done. That's one coat per day.

We might have rain moving in later so I have to move the entire project down to the basement. You know.. this wood furniture refinishing stuff is something I'm really good at! Makes me almost forget I'm not currently working!
