Hello My Friends

Just wanted to give you all an update on Me.

Well I had full bloodwork tests done 9 days ago to check my liver,kidneys,cholesterol,vitamin B12,Anemia (however its spelt - lol),white and red blood cells,Thyroid,Vitamin D and C and for diabetes. Think there are some others aswell but i forgot them - lol (obviously not a memory test).

Anyway's went to see the doc a couiple of days ago to findout the results .......... They all came back normal - yippee

.....Although the doc still has not ruled out MS.My thyroid is just a little bit off but not enough so my meds to be increased so thats a good sign. My blood pressure was 124/80 very nearly normal (normal is 120/80).

For the past 4 months I have put my self on an exercise and diet regime so when the nusre weighed me I was pleasantly surprised I have lost 27lbs - So what I am doing is working really well for me. Losing about the right amount of weight per week is what i planned to do and its the right way to do it. I use an online diet/weight/nutrition programme where they have videos of exercises etc and a lot of information and it is FREE!!! - I like FREE

The neurontin medication that the doctor put me on 4 months ago has helped my MS symptoms 95% so i am grateful for that, stops me from going dizzy and has also stopped the tingling and numbness i had in my left hand so now i can type the way I used too, my vision is not blurred anymore and i can once again hold things and not drop them. So good progress all around.

Anyway I better go now and do some housework.

You are more than likely to find me (Elle) in the chatrooms now as Ellefoxie (my old nick name), sometimes I may surprise you all and mix it up a little - lol - due to the fact that we now have 2 computers and Rocky likes this account as it is premium so he can perv all of your wonderful pictures in BIG screen mode and perv your lovely video's lol - plus some other stuff.

Hello NN Friends,

Well it is day 3 of taking my new prescription (started taking it at night on Friday for 5 days then I have to up it to 2 pills a day for 5 days and then 3 times a day), so far I feel fine, I have noticed the tingling in my hands has diminished a little - so can only get better

I have also started the healthy eating regime aswell and strength and cardio exercises, again so far so good - will step on the scales on Friday to monitor my progress. it is looking promising thus far though

Anyway just thought I would keep ya all up to date

So Now I shall bugger off for a little while

Well here I am again with news from the doctors that I went to see last Thursday.

My Thyroid check is ok and my meds are to remain the same. So that's one good thing

As for my MS symptoms (AND THAT IS WHAT i AM GOING TO CALL THEM UNTIL i KNOW OTHERWISE FOR SURE) well, think the jury is still out on that one, but my doctor seems to be convinced that it isnt MS just my menopause that is causing my hotness, light headedness and affecting my vision (means im getting old and decepid- lol). And she still seems to think that I have a trapped nerve that is causing my muscles to knot in my left arm and my numbness and tingly things in my left hand and fingers also could be affecting my wobbly walk.

She is prescribing me with a drug called NEURONTIN generic name is (GABOPENTIN) apparently this is for NEUROPATHY which would be for the muscle spasms and numbness, these wont take effect until about 4-6 weeks time and she is hoping that these will help me.

She also suggests that I go and see a Chiropractor to work on my spine and neck and shoulder the trapped nerve should be in one of those areas, also she is going to refer me to a Physical Therapist that can help me with proper excercise for my arms and shoulders and back etc.

Seems at last I may be getting somewhere (but MS still hasnt been removed) trying all these other options do make me feel better about myself and the future.

On the down side of things I have put on 5lb in just under a year. All that excercise I have been doing and I have gone down a bra size is just strange - lol.

The Doctor did say for me to change my excercise maybe do eliptical 1 day - then walk the next day (or treadmill) then maybe the next day do weights, and then eliptical wearing some wrist weights - she said muscles weigh more than fat (well i knew that) and she seems to think i have gained muscle and not fat, as for me battling my Thyroid makes it harder and longer for me to burn fat off therefore she suggests I have 1200 - 1500 calories a day and eat 4-6 times a day and not 3. (goodness Rocky says he dosent think im eating enough and i think i eat too much) I cant win - lol.

So as from next week i shall try all this and see what happens (will give me a chance to work out my calories and food for the days).

Anyway thats the update for now and will keep you informed of how everything is going ( i will try weekly but i just forget just like i forget to eat during the day sometimes)

Hello again NNfriends, hope we find you all well and happy

This is just a short one today - letting you that know us or of us that Elle is now doing really good on the eliptical exercise machine - she is now up to a 30 minute pre-programmed workout which involves all 6 resistance levels - We are hoping that her battle with whatever is wrong with her (MS or Not) is going to be easier to cope with by keeping active.

Well All That Know us - HAPPY NEW YEAR.

It seems it has been a long time since i have blogged and also been on NN.

I (Elle) took a few weeks off due to the fact that my MS symptoms made a comeback. I know they will come and go and i wish they would just go and NOT comeback, they play havoc with my moods, so to spare you all I dont come on NN and play until I can cope.

Anyway enough of that!

Colorado had snow last Thursday (bit late for a white Christmas)and brought very slick roads.Watch this video .... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ly8TDLpT-Tc&feature=geosearch

Took all the decs down and dismantled our 6 foot Artificial tree down on Saturday (New Years Day). Rocky braved the snow and took down our outside lights we had up on our balcony yesterday. So now the apartment looks naked - lol.
Yesterday 2nd January was Rocky and mines 4th Wedding Anniversary and we just stayed indoors and enjoyed each others company. We cooked lol if you can call it cooking oven fish and chips with tinned peas (how romantical - lol).

We had quite a year last year and to end the year some effing twat or twats smashed the windscreen of the car so we was off the road for a while (just aswell we can borrow the in-laws other car). Why can't people just keep their dirty mitts off of other peoples stuff - makes me so friggin mad (and also we cant afford that kind of stupidity).

We both hope that 2011 will be a better year in Health and prosperity for all of our friends and family.
