I see someone on the Suggestion Board recommends that mods have a "big flashy beacon" to summon them when required. Sounds like something from Doctor Strangelove
I wonder how that would be feasible, tho...24/7 moderation. Maybe choose moderators based on geographical region? Seems the majority of us are American or Canadian...
I check the verification queue pretty regularly, along with the rest of the mod tools...I'd just like to see some kind of alert for things that need immediate attention.
Of course it's feasible. You set up a team of X members and divide the week in X shifts and you get each member to commit to their shift. Volunteers manage all sorts of successful ventures worldwide.
As someone who modded elsewhere, any kind of 'big flashy beacon' doesn't tend to work well and creates backlogs unless cp is involved and NEEDS immediacy + legal intervention.
