The following are from readers of a local magazine on the theme of life and loves:

When I told my 18 year old grandson that I had never been asked out to a dance when I was at school,he came to my house the same evening dressed for his school prom and took me as his date...

Today was our 10th wedding anniversary.As both of us have been made redundant we decided not to give each other gifts.When I woke up this morning to find a most beautiful bunch of wild flowers on my kitchen window sill.

Today my 8 year old came up to me,gave me a hug and said "You are the best mum in all the world".I answered with a smile:"How do you know?you haven't met all the mums out there".The answer came back:"Yes I have-you are my world mum".

My very old Labrador can barely stand,can't see,cant hear and doesn't have enough strength to bark.But it doesn't stop her from wagging her tail a mile a minute whenever I walk by.

Why do some people take things to far eh?.When someone says stop doing something on their status TRY LISTENING or you will be deleted ok.

Sounds harsh but don't really care right now.

"As much as the status's are there for anyone to voice an opinion and you do open yourself up to the opinions of others when you post. If the poster asks for an opinion to stop, then the person making an opinion should stop. I am a big believer in "if you post it, you have to deal with what comes from it" I do feel if someone is asked to stop, then they should. Sometimes a point is beaten like a dead horse. Once spoken, it doesn't have to be repeated."

Really??? dear body I was in such a deep sleep then bang you decide to wake me.up.I woke up freezing and discover the temperature has dropped to -1.

You could have at least let me sleep through this but no you make me get up to fill a hot water bottle...yes I know not the cleverest thing to admit to the NN community...but at least I'm not admitting to what I'm wearing as I would be laughed at and be shunned by you all lol.

Anyway would just like to say a big hug goes out to all of you who have to cope with these temperatures most of the time.

I have this evil thing by my front door:its a cupboard where I keep the rubbish bags and recycle bin.
Anyway this cupboard may look pretty with its wood pannelling but it is pure evil I tell ya!.I say this because the last few days it has been hard to open.I have tried everything from using a ruler and then even a knife which snapped in half.
Picture this a blonde muttering all sorts of bad thing to a cupboard when eventually the little gremlin inside the door decided to open !....this was after I was practically on the floor lol.

1.Learn to make samosas.

Shawshank Redemption( this film made my obsession with Morgan Freeman).

Well I changed my profile pic earlier to one of me.Soon after I got a pm that made me think should I or shouldn't I remove my face pics from gallery.

To me the other parts of my body I've posted are more personal.I only post them and my face as I know nobody I know would even dream of using a site like this.

I know there are other people who have their face as profile pic and wonder if they have had doubts about it.
