Tuesday, June 3, 2014, 8:48:33 AM- The Pigeon rescuer
Yesterday I pulled open my bedroom curtains.Nothing strange about that you may think.Sitting on the stone squirrel seat was a pigeon.

.At first I thought he was there to drink the watter from the bowls that are there.I looked at him for a few minutes and realised he wasn't moving well.Suddenly he turned himself around and it was obvious something had attacked its wing.

So off I go looking for the phone book,I found a wildlife place.I explained what happened and also I have no transport to get there. She said they were too busy to come but she will find the number of someone nearer.A few minutes later she phoned again,so I made another call explaining situation. They came within half an hour.

It turned out they were the same people who found my cockatiel after it escaped following my dog out the door three years ago.

After they went my first thought was to the pigeons partner, but I saw him stuffing his beak with food and didn't seem to care lol.

I think I may have got over my fear of pigeons now(which stemmed from visiting a certain square in Venice).

Saturday, May 3, 2014, 8:03:42 AM- When I was young.
I was reading status earlier and something came up which reminded me of when I was young.

When I was little I had two really strange food habits:
1) When I was young I used to take the shells of green peas before eating them. This was discovered when I was at primary school by a dinner lady.I missed a breaktime once because I hadn't finished my peas.

2) I have no idea why this started but I could never eat yoghurt with bits in ie fruit.I used to take those out then eat the rest .I was fine eating fruit on its own just not in yoghurt .

Hope I got some of you laughing.

Tuesday, April 22, 2014, 2:36:02 PM- Do you like to doodle?
If you find yourself doodling be it either while watching tv or talking on the phone, here are some common doodles and what they mean:
House
These refer to safety and security to the individual.

Ladder
If you do these it represents the need to be active socially,to make a good impression.

Line
Vertical lines represent male, horizontal represent female. If you draw crossed lines it represents problems.

Maze
If you doodle these it means you have a clouded outlook on life as well as inner emotional conflict.

Pattern
A symmetrical paternal means you are good at organization.

Star
This means you have an ambitious character who is prepared to break a rule to get what you want.

Tree
If you draw the leaves upwards you are a healthy optimist. If the point down it could mean depression.A wide tree shows self protection.

I doodle stars what about you?.

Wednesday, April 9, 2014, 7:32:09 AM- Feel good
This happened last week:
I was in a shop getting some groceries.A little old lady (about 80ish)looked at me and said " excuse me could you help me",she said she had trouble with her eyes and couldn't find what she needed.

So i picked up what she wanted and asked if she needed anything else. There were no shop assistants around where we were.

I carried on shopping. The same lady queued up behind me and started saying how I helped her.The teenager at the till didn't even acknowledge the lady .

The moral of this story:it feels good to help others out even if it is something small...oh and young people(not all) need to respect their elders.

Sunday, March 2, 2014, 2:22:25 PM- victim
I've recently been a victim of fraud.Spent hours on the phone to bank, some very lovely people (insert sarcasm) had got hold of bank details and taken a fair amount from my account.

Luckily what they took is being refunded by bank to new card.Stress levels are quite high right now....
