Everything is quiet, finally solves the problems with my car, now there's nothing to come between me and my vacation.

Hello again.
I have already returned to the revision of my car

(((( It is a shit, now I have to repair the door handle on the back... It is true that is damaged for some time, but hardly a reason to make an adverse report... Damn bureaucracy! Grrrrrrrrrrr! Hello friends.
Here today we do not celebrate Father's Day, we celebrate the March 19. Here in Spain is a normal Sunday... Well, maybe not so normal... around 8:00 a.m. today, the summer has begun, but already some weeks ago an infernal heat, this week during the day 38ºC(100.4º F) at night and 23ºC(73.4º F), is unbearable... I do not really like summer, I do not like this kind of heat, I think that my work also change this feeling. Speaking of work... so yes I like my summer vacation, and come... *I hope* I need to fix some things before we can officially say that I have my vacation after the first week of July...

True to my appointment with you, I will continue my story...
I think it was for the state of nerves, but I woke up very early, about 6:30 a.m., was not very cold, it was an ideal temperature...
While waiting for breakfast, rolled up our sleeping bags and prepared our backpacks for the day, I think everything is ready. The breakfast is very simple. Coffee with milk, bread with butter and jam, and some cookies...
Now the adventure really begins. Near the shelter is a sign with information about the direction to be followed and the estimated time until the different objectives, it is assumed that the peak Almanzor is 2 hours of climbing, as I said yesterday, we will go along a route a little different than usual, so we estimate that the trip can take about three hours or three hours and a half...
Let's get into a hole that exists in the stone to move to the other side of the mountain, the place is 2405 meters high, the refuge is 2,000 meters high, therefore we have a height of 405 meters, so that seem very close, but I assure you that in the vertical is quite level.

Hello friends.
Looks like I finally found an acceptable image hosting...
Now I am prepared to say something about my adventure last weekend.
On Friday, my partner and I, we got up very early, we had more than two hours drive to reach the beginning of the first stage.
Travel without problems...
We arrived at the parking lot, and started preparing the things we need to take refuge Backpack ready...

Gosh!! It weighs too much, but just take what is necessary.
We started to walk... Access to the refuge, is a highly traveled road, is a typical outing in this area, we even carried a group of students who have come to enjoy the day. One question... where did the children get the energy? While we already had our tongue out, the children spent with us at the speed of light. Lol
To the refuge, more or less, there are 2.30 hours on foot... The first hour and half is uphill, at the moment you begin to remember all the beers you've taken during the year. But it is worth because there is a point where you can enjoy all the "Circo de Gredos" and this picture is priceless

The refuge is on the shore of a lake, get off for an hour to reach him, but before reaching a pleasant surprise, are on the path to two Hispanic male goat... The picture speaks for itself. Even got to eat bread at my hand

We have already come, give us the key to our closet and we put our things...

Hello friends.
Well... finally the day has come, tomorrow begins my adventure... I have prepared my bag... I am very nervous when people explain the feeling of being in love, speak of it feels like you have butterflies in the tummy... That is exactly The feeling I have now, I am excited by the uncertainty of not knowing what I expected in these two days.

Yesterday I called again on the phone to the shelter, one of the companions was to come has decided to leave us alone, I called to say we will only be two people... and to ask what are the current conditions... Finally I do not know if it will be possible reach the summit, told me that there is still snow in the area that is more complicated, this can become a rather dangerous situation, I love the mountains, but do not want to die in it I enjoy but I do not want to risk life...

I say in my profile that I am a bit pessimistic, but I think that a pessimist is an optimist well informed during the last month I read a lot about the ascent to this mountain, I read all kinds of opinions, but all agree that the stretch of talk is pretty dangerous, even in the end there is a small climb up a wall, I must admit I feel a little scared, but I hope will be stronger desire to get above that fear.

If we are unable to finally reach the top, it would be a disappointment ... but the mountains will continue in the same place and I can try another time with other conditions.

Today I talked to the shelter, weather conditions have improved, although there is still snow.
Also today I have been trying to attach my sleeping bag and my camera to the Backpack (during the ascent may be, but indispensable, a great hindrance) ... I got some plugs for my ears (at the shelter, shared bedrooms, snoring may make a very long night, lol), I have prepared my compass, my map of the area, my machete, and a small chest ... I do not think I forgot anything.
