I ran across a park that I have driven by many times, not knowing it was there. Got a few shots while walking the park. Still working on my digital SLR photo skills, so the quality is not quite what I would like, but I am happy with a few of the shots.

This racoon was napping in a hollow inside one of the large roots of a tree.

I can never see this bit too many times. Abbott and Costello were a well-oiled comedy machine. Who's on first is probably their most recognized routine. I know I'm showing my age a bit, but this is from well before even I was born.

Hot off the Facebook presses...

Pollen is essentially ‘plant sperm’. Therefore, this makes hay fever an STD. Since no one voluntarily takes in pollen, the logical conclusion is that we are all being by trees.

Seems logical to me...

30 years ago this year, the classic Mark II lineup of Deep Purple reunited and released Perfect Strangers. Here is the video of the title track. Look really close and you can see Ritchie Blackmore smile. He's been known to do it from time to time, but you have to watch closely to see it happen... A great, timeless rocker from an under appreciated band.

This illustrates my sense of humor when I'm tired and feeling a bit punchy... I have and do not offer any excuse...

A partial conversation between me and my daughter around Easter 2012 regarding Easter cakes:

Me: They have a bunny, an egg, a lamb… Do they have one shaped like Jesus? I wanna eat Jesus

Daughter: What?!

Me: Jesus with buttercream frosting

Daughter: The hell?

Me: He has risen and I ate him

Daughter: Dad? Are you high?

Me: No, I just wanna eat Jesus

Daughter to a perplexed wife: He says he wants to eat Jesus

Got some strange looks during this conversation. No drugs or alcohol was involved. Honestly.
