Wednesday, January 25, 2012, 2:49:56 AM- What a week, and it's not half over yet.

Back in the summer we got some new neighbors. The wife (M) just happened to be an old school mate of my wife and they hit it off again right off the bat.

Also, their two oldest boys and our son had been friends all through junior high so they spend a lot of time here just hanging out, since their house is rather small.

Anyway, Friday night M comes by and says that she's leaving T, her husband. He's become verbally abusive and all they do is fight. Right before they moved to the neighborhood he had actually hit her and ended up being Tazed by the cops. She's become afraid of him again so she's leaving before he becomes physically abusive again.

The two oldest boys were given the choice of staying with Dad or going with Mom, but since Mom was moving in with her parents for now, in a two bedroom house trailer, it would be tight quarters.

Instead they asked if they could stay with us and my wife and I agreed. They've been back and forth between their house but sleeping here (Dad's been drinking heavily) since Friday and they said they felt safer here.

Tonight on the way home from work I get a phone call from my wife that T is drunk and in our yard yelling and carrying on. By the time I get home the cops and EMT's are here. T took half a bottle of Tylenol and said he wanted to die.

He knocked on our door because M had come to our house, (she'd stopped by to get some things and he'd blown up on her) and when my son opened the door he tried to come inside.

I'm pretty proud of my 15 year old football player, LOL. He said he just tucked his shoulder into T's gut and shoved him off the porch when he kept trying to get in. He ran back inside and locked the door and waited for the cops to show up.

Now T's in intensive care for precautionary measures (high BP and accelerated heart rate) and the boys are spending the night here again. I feel so bad for the four kids, the oldest is 17 and the youngest 7. The two oldest seem to be doing okay, so I think hanging out with friends is helping them some. Hopefully this will all be over soon, as T is moving out of town, or so he said today.

The cops want me to press charges for attempted home invasion but I don't know what to do for sure. I hate to cause anymore problems for T, since he's the father of my son's two best friends. I guess I'll sleep on it and decide in the morning.

Yesterday we had a high temp of 53 degrees F. Last night a winter storm moved in and we woke to this...

Forgive the pic it was taken with my cell phone and not up to Wods standards.

It was 15 degrees F with wind gust of 30 mph making it F*CKING cold.

And it hasn't gotten any better either, still snowing and blowing. The snow is supposed to end some time tonight but we'll see. LOL

I have to wonder about a world that mourns the loss of an animal but sheds not a tear over the loss of thousands of unborn babies.

The wife says she's going to let me take some photos to post on here soon.

We'll see, but she's more open to it now than she's ever been.

She's got this idea she's not sexy enough, so I showed her some pics of ladies on here with the same body type and the comments and votes they'd gotten and now she says she'll let me take some to post on here.

Wednesday, October 12, 2011, 12:10:57 AM- I took a sick day today...

Thursday I woke up with a case of the sniffles. By Friday it was a full blown head cold and just got worse from there.

I was up all night coughing last night as it settled into my chest. I've never coughed so hard in my life as I did last night. I coughed so hard my chest hurt and I pulled a muscle in my back. YIKES!!

I made a doctor's appt today for me and my wife, as she's got some of the same symptoms, and we both have a severe sinus infection that is going around this area.

Mine has spread to my lungs and the doctor put me on a dose of antibiotics and an inhaler, as she said I had borderline pneumonia. GREAT!

I'm now out of sick time and was worried about tomorrow, figuring I'd just tough it out. I got home and a coworker called and wanted to know if I could trade a day, she'd work tomorrow for me if I worked Saturday for her.

Which means I don't have to work until Saturday, so hopefully I can kick this thing by then, or at least be over the worst of it.

I hope you all are doing better than I am.
