If you're on a phone it will look different, it's the mobile version. If you want the full version go the top left of the screen where is says "view" and click on "standard".

don't know shadow, but I suspect they're longing on via cellphone because of the little phone icon by their post. If they haven't before they may not be familiar with the mobile version.

curious, I think it only shows up when you are on a phone and when you post a status, not when you reply to one already posted. I think, LOL.
