Laid-back, easy going guy until my passions are aroused. I've been here 3 other times... I keep trying to get it right, I guess. lol

As I get older, I am enjoying life's little pleasures as much as the bigger pleasures. Sometimes even more. Last night, I turned out the lights and climbed into bed. Oh, that wonderful feeling of warmth from flannel sheets! I almost felt like I had become enveloped in a wonderful cocoon of relaxing pleasure. It didn't take long to drift away to Dreamland. Yesssss. ~

I suppose it's a sign of the times. We want instant gratification. And when you order something online, you want it the next day. Sometimes, depending on the delivery driver, things don't arrive on time. A lot of people now get upset and throw a fit, mailing the site of purchase. Although I do like the speed of delivery today, I don't get upset if I have to wait an extra day. I know it was back in the dinosaur days, but shockingly we had to wait 10 days to 2 weeks for something we ordered... from a catalog. You young whippersnappers have got it made, and you don't even know it. ~

... the reason people are shocked at the earlier darkness from switching back from DST (Daylight Savings Time) is because instead of gradually watching the days get shorter, it hits you all at once. I personally hate DST. As the old folks used to say as I was growing up: It just ain't natural. And if it ain't natural, then I don't like it. ~

Nowhere Boy. I re-watched this wonderful movie last night. It's about the early years of John Lennon and the start of the Beatles. Even if you're not a Lennon fan, I still recommend this movie. It is very well done. ~

I have always been a brunette lover. I have always been a leg man. Lately, in my dreams, I have been seeing lots of blondes with big breasts and they are all rail skinny. Does this mean my tastes are changing in my old age? Or is my subconscious demanding equal time? Hmmm...

... hippos? What a funny dream, to see a baby hippo splashing around in a swimming pool. I wonder what drew that out of my subconscious? ???

I wasn't going to post anything today (Wednesday), but then I remembered that these things are usually dated a day ahead, so a very HAPPY HALLOWEEN! (Except in my town. Halloween trick or treating has been delayed to Friday due to rain. Seriously) ~

The Deuce concluded it's run on HBO Monday night. A fascinating look at the NYC Times Square area in the 1970's to 1980's. It WILL be missed! ~

Yes, they even make pumpkin spice Cheerios now. Not my cup of tea, but I'm sure they will sell well. I was encouraged though to see that they now make chocolate and peanut butter Cheerios. I'm not much of a guy fro cold cereal any more, but I might try them sometime. Who knows? They might become a thing with me. And we're all looking for a new thing, right? ~
