Getting ready to go top off my gasoline tank. The weather has cooled off today to the lower 50s, so I should be safe handling the gas pump wearing gloves. And yes, when I get home I will still wash my hands and use a bleach germicidal wipe on the door knobs. Always think safety. ~ | ||

Today it was suggested by our fearless leader that we wear masks, bandanas or even tee shirts over our mouth when we go out in public. I drove across town to a grocery store today and saw several groups of kids/young people out walking along in groups of at least four, with no distance in between them. Yesterday, at another grocery, a man at the front of the line was wearing a mask and surgical gloves, which is fine. BUT He was wearing a tank top, shorts and sandals. I suppose he didn't consider he might brush up against someone who is sick. No wonder, after some of the things I've seen lately, that this virus is spreading.  | ||||||

I've heard a few complaints from women about the closing beauty and nail salons. I suppose I was spoiled by seeing my late mother doing her own nails for around 40 years, which is why I dislike fake fingernails. I can see the urge to have a professional save a person some time in doing it for them. What are some of these women going to do now, wear gloves? | ||||||

March Madness must be waning... I actually found (for the first time in almost 3 weeks) toilet paper in a store. I was shocked at first, but then I saw how lonely that four pack looked on that big empty shelf space and I knew I had to take it home with me. Like a little puppy at the animal shelter, this 4 pack will be taken to a loving home and will get my undivided attention for quite some time. Kinda brings a tear to my eyes. ~ | ||||||

They're shutting down the factory for a week (supposedly all three buildings) where I work. My main Supervisor came by and gave me the news Friday. I had two options: Go on cleaning detail in the buildings where production is, or Do a little 'spiff up' of the building where I mainly work on Monday and Friday. I chose the latter. A few hours over two days with three days off in between sounded better. It's only me I have to look after at home, so I can tighten my belt and take the hit money-wise. BUT I later heard from the people in charge of two of the buildings where I work that the offices there will be open all week. I don't think the boss knows that, so... stay tuned for further developments. ~ | ||||||
