Our executive leader has signed orders to suspend income taxes through the end of the year. They will have to be paid eventually, unless (his own statement) he is re-elected, in which case they will be forgiven. Even my hard core conservative Republican friends say that this is nothing more than a bribe, a ploy to get re-elected. He must indeed be on crumbling ground to think something like this will work. ~ | ||

I stopped drinking. That's not to say I've quit, just stopped. If I quit smoking I'll have no more ancient vices left. But, Every time I think about quitting, I think of Mark Twain. He said that quitting smoking was easy because he had done it thousands of times. Sometimes I am my own worst enemy... with a sense of humor, no less. | ||
