Laid-back, easy going guy until my passions are aroused. I've been here 3 other times... I keep trying to get it right, I guess. lol

This movie is definitely relevant today: As they used to joke about Chicago: 'vote early & vote often'. It rings true in my hometown. A longtime nickname for my hometown has always been 'Little Chicago' and for proof of us living up to that name, our mayor was indited a year ago for corruption by the FBI. Vote, America! ~

Tuesday is Election Day here in the U.S.A. Will the Donald get four more years? Or Will Joe be our next Commander in Chief? Millions have already voted, whether by mail in or absentee ballot (like me). Longs lines are expected and tempers may flare, so please, everyone stay cool and remember to: Either way, life will go on. ~

If it's not too late, we should all write in Pat Paulson for president. It doesn't matter that he's dead. He would STILL do the best job of anyone running. ![]()

... to the question imposed by the song: "Have you ever seen the rain coming down on a sunny day?" Yes, I have. My mother used to say that when that happens, the devil is beating his wife. Gotta love some of those old southern sayings. ![]()

It's been raining all day today (1.25 inches as of noon) and I didn't expect any action today, but about a half an hour ago I was surprised to see two company trucks pull up out front. In about 5 minutes, they loaded up the pipe lying on the grass and then drove off. WTH, man? The company that is contracting the work is from another town, so I went to their website and left them a message, politely asking what the fuck is going on. I'll be surprised if I hear back from them in less than a week. ???

No rain today and plenty expected tomorrow. No action taken today, though. I may plant some flowers on the big mound of dirt in the front yard... it doesn't look like it's going anywhere any time soon. ![]()

No workers or trucks at all today. It has been misting rain since midnight. We can't have these delicate flowers wilting under these conditions, can we? ![]()

Just before 9am a company truck showed up out front. Almost 6 hours later, the truck is still sitting there, but there has been no activity and no sign of anyone. These people must be getting paid by the hour. ![]()

The guy who mows the grass where I live showed up today after about a 4 week hiatus and mowed grass that didn't need mowing. He also trimmed around all of the holes and the large mound of dirt. It must be really hard to scrape up yard work after it has frosted and the grass quits growing. ![]()
