My late mother made THE best potato salad I've ever tasted. She made hers German style, with vinegar. It was so well liked that every holiday people were asking for her recipe as soon as they tasted it. My sister and I are the only two people with that recipe. In fact, when I told my mother that I was getting a divorce, her first words were: "Make sure you get my recipe for potato salad back." Just another thing I miss about the holidays.  | ||||||

I love cherry pie, so I bought a triple cherry pie to have after Christmas dinner. Then I started to think: Does the triple cherry mean three times as many cherries? Or 3 types of cherries? So I've decided to buy a regular cherry pie to try alongside the triple. Whatever the outcome, for me it's a win-win-win.  | ||||||

I recently purchased an air fryer. Last weekend I made some homemade french fries and they were pretty good. This weekend I had another craving for french fries and since I was in a lazy mood, I bought frozen fries. About 15 minutes after loading the air fryer, I had a plate full of fries that tasted like Heaven. I'm going to stock up on frozen fries now. | ||||||

Things have slowed down around here. I just peeped out of the spy hole in my door to investigate an odd noise. Turns out it was a maintenance worker walking around with a bucket of paint and a paint brush, doing a little touch up on the trim around the doors. At least he's working. | ||

With the recent passing of legendary actor Sean Connery, a lot of t.v. stations have been rerunning his movies. After he did all of those James Bond movies (and he is still my favorite Bond), he started to stretch as an actor. This is one of my favorite movies he did, along with Michael Caine and directed by another legend, John Huston. Based on the Rudyard Kipling story: Deffinning the word 'classic' in cinema.  | ||||||

A nice surprise today: Checked my latest paycheck today. We clock in/out at work from an app now and our paychecks show on the company website. I knew it was time for the yearly Christmas bonus BUT I didn't expect the surprise of a pay raise, to boot. I'm feeling pretty mellow right now. Ahhhhhh... ~ | ||||||

I finally got my scanner on my printer working today. Unfortunately, I've long since gotten rid of the old nuddies I took of old girlfriends and my ex wife. Without knowing why, they have all felt an unknowing sense of relief today. | ||
