Laid-back, easy going guy until my passions are aroused. I've been here 3 other times... I keep trying to get it right, I guess. lol

I am a senior citizen. I have no problem with that. It's like when my hair loss got bad enough that trying to 'hide' it looked worse than the actual me. I got over it and moved on. A lot of the people my age talk about how bad young people are today. I work around, live around and shop around young people every day. They seem to like me, what's not to like about that? The few that I meet who are disrespectful, I just smile at. They don't realize it now, but someday they'll be in my shoes. Won't they be sad! Karma can be a real bitch. ~

The apartment complex across the street is for sale. To make the building more desirable, 5 of the 6 tenants have been evicted - including the 'dueling' screaming drunks. The only one left is a guy named Jason, who keeps asking people who live here if he can have access to the building to use the laundry facilities. I received a group email from the office manager yesterday about this person so that she can contact the authorities. We are supposed to alert her if he tries to gain entrance again. I wonder what he thinks he will find if someone is stupid enough to let him in? I wonder who will be first to message her? ?

Since I was out of electricity for over half of the weekend, my sense of time has been skewed. Today feels like Sunday, not Monday, which will play Hell at work tonight. ![]()

At 9:49 am Saturday, a storm passed through the area and knocked my power out for the next 29 hours ans 53 minutes. That's a lot of time to realize how much we take our electricity for granted. I got by - I read, took walks, dined out and watched a little t.v. on my phone. I didn't mind the quiet too much, but I was happy when power was restored this afternoon. Did you miss me? Or (more likely) did you not know I was sidelined? ~

I was going to write about something else today, but every time I click on something an ad pops up to subscribe to NN. Maybe the powers that be might want to back that ad down a little. ![]()

53 years ago, I watched history on a little 13" b&w t.v. in the manager's office at the McDonald's where I worked. Yep, I'm that old. ~

Today at lunch, I saw a lady eating pizza with a knife and fork. I started to laugh, then had a flashback to fourth grade, when I had a teacher who did the same thing. What goes around, comes around. ~
