pbsandwich	27-Jul-17 0:53:49 Great blog Ju. I am a little torn at the moment with NN. On one hand we have all of the fakes diluting the experience and making people wary. We want real people to interact with. But having said that, many of the older members (and I have been guilty myself but am trying to change my ways) are more than happy to belittle and humiliate new members that maybe don't fit the parameters of what some expect on status. We should give these people a chance - as you do with the welcome message and the premium trial. Who knows maybe they will become part of the family and even become a 14 year member too someday!

But I also agree (as a member still a month away from my first year), with the points pbsandwich has made in his comment. I do feel negative assumptions often appear to be made about the genuineness of new members, where rules are perhaps less being broken as much as not being understood.

Having been in and out of here for years (the cleanout of my 'original images' folder I didn't know existed revealed 19 sets of verification pics taken over 8 years!) you get used to seeing the same shots recycled (who is 'she' this time?)...... so usually I have my pic and vid filter set to 'verified posters only' to spare me the bitter exes. Was interested to read below that 'Spunky19' had suggested a 'verified only' filter and it wasn't well received - because I'd have thought one of the most obvious trademarks of a 'questionable' account is arriving with lots of 'look at me' fanfare in status. Given that verification has no actual cost, you'd think it would be a very low bar to cross for some of the more 'community' benefits of the place....
